Hmm interesting interview. A few things I noted:
I'm glad he was at least sort of honest about the "lasts as long as two packs of cigs" thing.
It said Njoy controls 40% of the US ecig market? Do they mean 40% of the US "manufacturing" market, or of all ecig items bought and sold in the US? 40% of the market for a US manufacturer, considering the bulk of ecig items that people have are likely purchased from foreign manufacturers/companies, and sold through US based retailers. Is Njoy being clever and toying with the numbers to appear bigger than it is?
The woman asked about people still having health effects down the line from the nicotine, he should have told her that there isn't any evidence that nicotine by itself causes any serious long term or short term harm, assuming you don't OD or something.
I'm surprised the guy didn't use this as an opportunity to promote his specific product even more. They started to get into the basic idea of how ecigs are easy to transition to from smoking because they replicate real cigarettes, but he threw away a perfect chance to push the Njoy King. He could have said that even though there are tons of ecigs out there, the Njoy King replicates a real cigarette better than anything else on the market. The size, weight, and feel are far more accurate than any other ecigs on the market.
Maybe he didn't because that sounds so cheezy, like something that would be on a late-night infomercial. But, in this case it actually happens to be true.
It's always surprising how well known ecigs are getting. I remember posting on a forum of a different subject matter when ecigs were barely known in the US. I was buying Airsoft guns from HongKong wholesale and the re-selling on eBay, and a guy over there I knew was telling me about eCigs. I thought they were pretty neat sounding. Anyway, when I posted up asking if anyone had heard of them on that forum, I got attacked by a bunch of people who either were rabid anti-smokers and thought it was evil, or were current smokers that thought it was incredibly stupid.
Funny how fast people's minds get changed when it's the "cool hip" thing to do. Whatever works I guess!
