first off sorry cuz i cant find the clip but heres a link on the news article

www . ctvnews.ca/health/health-headlines/e-cigarettes-could-hook-new-generation-on-nicotine-journal-warns-1.1487005#ixzz2hRaKCchY]E-cigarettes could hook new generation on nicotine, journal warns

the two things that made me laugh was "the devices have a cool quotient that could appeal to youth and spur them to start consuming nicotine"

i thought to myself hmmm Miley Cyrus twerking looked kinda cool to me, that could lead to alot of teenage girls to aspire to be whures  when they grow up

the other one was in the video clip that i cant find, they had a doctor saying "be carefull of second hand smoke" or vape to correct him because second hand vape contains 4 to ten chemicals that are harmful vs 4000 chemicals on a real cig

PEOPLE YOU NEED TO REALIZE! SECOND HAND VAPE IS DANGEROUS ALRIGHT!

the doctor on tv said so

have a good 1:vapor:

If you are allergic to water - possibly

Having someone Breath in your direction can be dangerous. It all depends on what is being expelled. Nic, Germs, Bacteria.....

Children used to play together and share their sandwiches on the playground, in the dirt. Surprisingly people were healthier then.

Folks, this is a very, very new industry. Until there is 50 years behind us, none of us can say with absolute certainty that vaping is safe, only safer than cigarettes. It is awesome to have some medical professionals beginning to side with us, but let us please keep this in perspective. It isn't responsible to act like this is harmless and anyone that doesn't think so is 'uninformed' or naive. Just my two cents. Good luck and have fun!

My main problem with the FDA and their "regulations" is the lopsided way they go about handing them out.
On one hand they use inadaquit, or in some cases plane bad, science to prove that this industry needs "their type of regulation". Then in the other hand they approve medacations, for that other industry, that not only make people sicker, but are dangerous to take, and sometimes even deadly.
And even after they approve a drug that winds up killing people they take no responsability for it.
It just seems way too one sided when it comes to their "regulations" to me. You almost have to wounder how the "other industry" is getting away with some of things they are when they are "suppose" to be regulated.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Whit their track record, I wouldn't trust the FDA to regulate my dogs food.

It's true we don't know the long term effects of vaping, and while most of us love our nic it's good to remember it is a drug that causes blood vessels to constrict. It's better to not have constricted blood vessels. But if I'm going to have constricted blood vessels I'd rather have them this way and without the 4000 other chemicals inhaled with analogs, so while this may not be ideal, it is so much better than the alternative! Before ecigs I tried to quit so many times but wasn't able. I'm a health professional myself... and it was my dirty little secret. Then there is big pharma coming out with all these fabulous new drugs and two years later are off the market because oops, they happened to kill a few people. So far vaping is seeming to beat those odds and here's to hoping for the best for all of us!

Please break the link to junk science posts

ECF is a wealth of information with literally hundred of thousands of threads and over 10 million posts. This makes links from ECF worth a lot in terms of "Google Juice". We have a policy here of denying this credibility (in search engine thinking) to junk science and other rubbish posts (like press releases).

there's is hundreds maybe thousands of years of smoking behind us.
there is thousands of years of flavor making/ food prep behind us
nicotine has been around as long also.
there is nothing new going on here.

we have a scientific community that can forcast foreseen and unforseen problems ahead into the future with the information gathered today. they can do this at an accelerated rate..
we are not dealing with unknowns here at all. with at least 5 years of real people vaping , I am sure if there was something harmful going on, more than likely it would be evident "now", and the studies would be narrowing down to particulars..
being this industry is new and not run by big money or big government, but it being threatened by big money and big government,
you would think they are pulling out all the stops to find something bad to say about vaping.
But, they haven't any real evidence yet, and they are all saying the same thing also, lets wait till we find out more.
Our gov't. has done this also with a lot of laws being passed, you heard it before, let's pass this bill, so we can find out what's in it later...
once laws and rules are passed, it is nearly impossible to reverse them, only to addend them even more.
all smokers need to be able to have unregulated full access to e-cigs and vaping "NOW" ..
that is just so common sense worthy...
stay tuned ---- more to come..:2cool:

no, this is a great question. actually i herd someone talking about how ecig vapor might actualy be healthier than breathing the polluted air of la, all of the carbon monoxide and crap in the air these days.. it makes sence, however im not too sure about the acuracy of this, but it kinda makes sence.. truth is, no one actually knows.

all that matters for us is that its a hell of a lot safer than cigeretes! nd even if it isnt, i cant stand the smell, breath, and yellow teeth i had from smoking analogs.

There was some media buzz around here, sounded very similar to what you had, kind of rehashed, a lot of scare tactic, linking minors vaping nic to taking up smoking pot and cigs. It was framed as a "Parental Alert"
Im sure these are the same parents that wouldn't think twice about stuffing their kinds faces with all the fastfood and sugar they want.
