So I've been vaping for about 3 months now...my friend got me into it after showing me his M401. I liked it, did some research, ended up getting the M602. Seemed like a good starter.

I like it, i still use it it my car for the size and the fact i have 4 batteries for it. But it doesnt make a lot of vapor which i didn't like, the throat hit is ok but not great. Works though and i haven't burned through one atomizer yet.

I also bought a DSE-901. I bought it mostly because I wanted a pass through. Vapor production is much better, but throat hit is almost non-existant unless I use a very high nicotine content liquid (24mg or higher). I dont like to use the higher ones (I use either 12 or 18mg, this coming from a pack a day smoker for the past 11 years). And now im hooked on higher voltage vaping...

So, my question is, my birthday is coming up and the girlie asked me what I wanted. I was thinking about the Silver Bullet, but then my same friend showed me online the Totally Wicked Tornado.

Both look awesome, both seem to do 6v with ease.

Which would be more recommended? Or is there any other options that people would recommend?

I own a Silver Bullet so I'm somewhat predjudiced. The SB can use any protected removeable rechargeable 18650 3.7v battery as it sits inside the external casing. I use one that is 2600 mah. They come in lower and higher mah ratings. You can also vape at 6v with the appropriate batteries. From what I've seen of the Tornado, the batteries are built into the exterior of the unit. This means replacement batteries will cost more and may not be as high of quality. You won't know because it isn't printed on the outside of the battery. Just my $.02.

Like VDS_NY said, the eGo/Tornado isn't a 6v. It has an extra long life 3.7v stock 510 battery.

I'm really out of my depth when it comes to discussing batteries. However, I believe I've read that the eGo is generally considered better than other 510 batts because in addition to longer life, it delivers at its optimal level for a much longer period of time. The performance of a standard 510 batt will begin to decline as it loses its charge.

Get the silver bullet:) It's awesomely made, can take ANY rechargeable 18650 for 3,7-4.0v:)
I will NEVER buy another mod/pv that you have to buy "special" batts for. They always charge a premium for them, and you're stuck dealing with that supplier and unable to shop around for the best batt deals. Just my nickel:D

The Tornado/eGo is a very nice looking device and I figured since VDS_NY had an eGo he would know better than some what type of battery it was running on. Personally, I prefer the mods that are battery case type devices. The price of batteries is much lower and you don't have to search out who carries them. I bought 4 18650 batteries for under $20.00 (I think it was $18.98) total cost with free shipping. I'm loving my SB and BB.

Well...the gf got me the Silver Bullet for my birthday...got me a good amount of accessories to go with it too (510 atty, 18650 battery, charger, 5 pack of cartridges)...

I ordered some more 3.7v batteries as well as some 3v batteries to run it @ 6v.

My good friend has the Tornado now...I tried it out...its a nice piece too...3.7 is just as good on it as well. The design is extremely nice too. But, I do like that the SB can do other voltages as well as use standard, cheaper, and easier to find batteries. When I looked up the cost on a replacement Tornado battery and saw it was over $20, I think the SB is the right way to go.

Another question though...I know altsmoke doesn't recommend doing 6v...but has anyone used the 3.7v TR123's to run it at 7.4v? I've seen the high voltage atty's out there to try it...but i dont want to do it and risk an exploding face...they are pretty damn close in size to the RCR123A's too...at least by the numbers on length/width
