So tonight I was at my favorite vape lounge (awesome place) just building, vaping, and testing juices...I was testing a certain drip line they carry and picked a flavor and it was AMAZING...So I bought some. Opened up the bottle, dripped up, and vaped. So harsh that I coughed my lungs up and almost fell over. There was no flavor, just a TON of nicotine and a ton of PG. I have an allergy to PG so I generally only drip 80/20 or above and I do just fine. For some reason, this drip lines flavor (every bottle) was completely nasty and useless. Damn near had to dial 911 - I was choked up, and the old airways were getting really tight. After water, warm rags on my throat, and time - I cleared up a bit. I am still feeling tight now, but definitely OK and just need to take a break. Scary experience though, I've never had my allergy hit me like that. Glad the staff knew what to do, and the manager gave me a rather large (I won't say how much) gift card to the shop.

WHEW!

I'm confused. So you tried the juice and loved it then you bought some, vaped what you bought and that gave you the attack? The same product but not the tester version? Also what nic level was it?

I tested it at 0 - Then, purchased it at 3. The fresh bottled product given was part of a bad batch that included it being high PG. It is supposed to be an 80/20 VG PG. Who knows what the nic level actually was..Bad, bad, bad, bad batch.

It's also a good possibility that you had a nicotine over dosage. I'm also low tolerant to nicotine. You gotta understand PG is in a lot of the things we eat so to have allergy is pretty rare and if you did you would have known before now.

Not necessarily. My doctor confirmed it with a bubble test. It reacts differently when inhaled. It may barely irritate me if consumed orally, but inhaling it is a different story.

Well I think they have a major Qc problem and should be avoided.
If you are so allergic to pg that your throat swells you should only buy from vendors that produce pg free juice.
True allergies are nothing to fool with.
Or did the store just give you a high nic bottle by mistake you didnt read the lable and tried blowing a huge cloud? Resulting in you coughing up a lung.

VERY LOW PG I can tolerate. Over 20% is generally a no go. I vape 80/20 or 90/10. The bottle was labelled 3mg.

As a rule, when the bottle is labeled 80/20 the first number is always the pg content. I have seen this consistently with all the vendors I've dealt with. So if your bottle is labeled 80/20 then what you have is 80pg/20vg.

It was labelled 80/20 and went on to say that it contained 80% Vegetable Glycerin.

so did you ask them to test it wth a nicotone content test? my money is on it being very very high nic.......and I'd be worried about their batches......and also worried about other vapers

glad you're okay though

They pulled the entire line from the shelf while I was there, and are sending them all back to the STL area group who makes them.

they sound like a responsible outfit, plus they compensated you on the bad experience.

pg used to be listed 1st, many vendors now list it 2nd. you have to know the vendor or read the label nowadays. :)

That's just crazy, not to mention irresponsible. There's a lot of people that have trouble with one or the other. Glad I do DIY. I'd be pretty torqued if I got 20/80 when I thought I was getting 80/20.
