Scary...PG Allergy Attack Tonight

So tonight I was at my favorite vape lounge (awesome place) just building, vaping, and testing juices...I was testing a certain drip line they carry and picked a flavor and it was AMAZING...So I bought some. Opened up the bottle, dripped up, and vaped. So harsh that I coughed my lungs up and almost fell over. There was no flavor, just a TON of nicotine and a ton of PG. I have an allergy to PG so I generally only drip 80/20 or above and I do just fine. For some reason, this drip lines flavor (every bottle) was completely nasty and useless. Damn near had to dial 911 - I was choked up, and the old airways were getting really tight. After water, warm rags on my throat, and time - I cleared up a bit. I am still feeling tight now, but definitely OK and just need to take a break. Scary experience though, I've never had my allergy hit me like that. Glad the staff knew what to do, and the manager gave me a rather large (I won't say how much) gift card to the shop.

WHEW!

Though there are probably many people who will disagree with me, your experience only reinforces my opinion that there should be regulations in place (similar to regulations food manufactures have to be compliant with) that all juice manufactures have to comply with and be routinely inspected for compliance of the same.

I realize that the aforementioned regulations will most likely drive up the cost of juice to the consumer, but the unregulated manufacturing of juice is a wreck waiting to happen.

As a rule, when the bottle is labeled 80/20 the first number is always the pg content. I have seen this consistently with all the vendors I've dealt with. So if your bottle is labeled 80/20 then what you have is 80pg/20vg.

This isn't always true. I have had several juices that say 80/20 and are in fact 80% vg and 20% pg. I am somewhat sensitive to pg myself and I could tell these juices were high in vg, both in how they vaped and in how thick they were. It all depends on how they bottle their juice. Some vendors that exclusively put out high vg e juice put the vg % first. This is pretty confusing though especially if you think you are getting an 80% vg and in fact it is the other way around. That would be a horrible experience imo.

Your right I disagree
Cars, food, and drug manifacturers have very tight regulations. Yet every day there are recalls. Why? Because regulations dont prevent screw ups.
What kind of regulation could have prevented this?
Quality control happens at the manifacturer not some zellots desk.
