I had some bad experiences with early tanks and have only recently been trying again.
I vaped some 100% PG with a resurrector prepunched cartomizer in the tank with no problems. Then I tried a 80% PG / 20% VG and started getting dry hits by the first refill. Obviously I will need to add holes or expand the hole already in place. I'm thinking it will only need a small addition but experimenting could cost me a lot of wasted carts.
My question is if someone with engineering skills could come up with a rough guide to punching or slotting cartos depending on PG & VG percentages? I couldn't be the only one with this trouble!
Thanks for reading!

While your idea sounds good in theory, I don't know how practical or possible it would be. There are so many variables involved. Different brand cartos have different packing consistencies. (how tightely packed the filler is) Then there is the variable in the size of the hole, and how many holes etc etc... Then there is probably the consistancy of the flavoring itself, and how much you use.
For instance, you say you need more holes when you try to vape 80/20 mix. I use mostly a 70/30 mix, but I only use one hole in my punched Boge cartos. I've not had any problems with this for as long as I've been using tanks. HOWEVER, right now I'm having some issues just with my Cinnamon Roll juice. For some reason I'm having to take dry vapes, which is not normal for me, to keep the carto from getting burnt. Is it the carto? Is it that I might have gotten my mix alittle off? Has the screw that I use to punch my cartos gotten dull and not making the hole as large as a new screw would? All possibilities.

Edited for update: Seems that it was a dull screw. Changing to a new screw did the trick, so it must have had something to do with a small variation in the diameter of the hole size.
