I use these. They're small, and can really get in tight spots and up close, and they've stayed sharp forever! Just tiny folding scissors!

They're also great for when you have to "shave" your wick. Taking tiny amounts off or angling it.

Great scissors!

Go to Walmart and look for the sewing stuff. Or maybe there's a scissor section near the arts and crafts...these are $10 have a razor edge and are spring loaded. Fiskars makes them.
If you cut nothing but fabric with them they will last a loooong time. You can cut a wad of cotton bacon in half with one bite.
You can also cut with the very tip really well.
The blades are only 2-3" long making them perfect for tight places.

hello guys! which is the best scissors for cutting cotton?

Surgical scissors w/out a doubt. I get from my veterinarian but you can get here or ask your dentist, etc.

They are not at all expensive and you can look for size of blades you want

Medics, First Reponders, and such use these. My dermatologist uses these.

I would never buy stuff like this on a vaping site, since they really aren't specialists in *cutting tools* like scissors. :)

these are GREAT!~

To elaborate on that, I wouldn't buy screw drivers, pliers, tweezers...any tool of any kind from a vape site. For the reason you stated.

I just went into a medical supply shop, not a drug store or pharmacy. I walked out with a pair of curved and straight medical quality scissors for not really that much. They also had rolls of cotton baton that when opened were flat and only a few millimeters thick, looked exactly like the cotton bacon or one of those fancy cottons. I left cotton behind a looong time ago when I discovered rayon.

I've tried a couple of pairs of the most popular option's, lot of scissors are sharp and cut those wicks nicely at first but get blunt very quickly, i decided to cut my losses and buy a pair of ceramic scissors, they are guaranteed to remain sharp and the only thing you can't cut with them is metal, one blade has a serrated edge so you don't get that slippage on the cut, the blades are a little shorter than normal scissors but i've never had a problem with this and the only thing you need to do once you've cut the wick is blow or flick the cut edge to open the fibers back up.
