hello all - the stock batteries that ships with the MKII are already showing signs of degrading. i have been rotating them since i purchased it just over a month ago. i only get about 2 hours of solid vaping before they start to get weak. they will last several hours, almost all day, but the vaping is unsatifactory after the first couple hours. a new battery is fairly expensive from TW's site. does anyone know if there is a different supplier that i can buy a battery from for a cheaper price? anyhelp would greatly be appreciated. thx much - :vapor:

Well the first step would be to check the voltages when they come off the charger to make sure they are being charged properly. You want somewhere around 4.1 to 4.2V. Under-charging will shorten vape times, overcharging, say to 4.3V+ will shorten longevity.

The battery is a 18350, but they are usually are rated at about 1200mAh. But that could be an exaggeration. TW claims a 'specially made' 900mAh version.

It's hard finding a protected 18350. MadVapes has them, but lengths can vary and they show a button top, the TW batt has no button (the positive terminal is flush). In other words them may fit and they may last longer.

In general I would say stick with TW's, but a pair in rotation only lasting about a month is rather pathetic.

The batteries from Madvapes work OK and are protected. The button top will not make a difference, just make sure you put them in -down and + up towards the atty.

Search/Google for DSE601 pipe battery and you will find what you need

And these batteries are non protected, but fit nicely. But again they are not protected.

AND the one I would get it from other then MadVapes:

Do not try to use 16340's in the MKII SD. The batts will get past the lip and possibly activate the atty.
