I just wanted to post some comments for the Screwdriver. I have had mine since early June. I know from using the 901 that the atomizers are supposed to be disposable. I went through several of them in a short amount of time. I purchased a bunch of them at about the same time that I purchased the Screwdriver (different source). I also started dripping at the same time.

Here is the point. I have been using the same 901 atomizer since I started using the Screwdriver (and started dripping). So, either this is a darn fine atomizer, the dripping makes it last longer...or, this is what I suspect...the Screwdriver doesn't burn up the atomizers as quickly.

So, the Screwdriver may be more expensive than the 901s but it sure has saved me a lot of money on the purchase of replacement atomizers.

Just in case all of these e-cigs become illegal in the USA, I purchased 2 backup Screwdirvers. I think that it is a great investment for me. I'll put them away for my future use in case I lose one or break one.

So, here is a two thumb's up for the Screwdriver.

Thanks Trog.

The 'Screwdriver' while it may be a fine piece of hardware is nothing more than a battery case. As it's been discussed on here several times.

A battery is a battery whether it's in a screwdriver, a Prodigy, a FOG LOG, a Silver Bullet, a Magnum, a Grenade, a Hurst T-Handle, a stuffed animal, an old slipper, or a dead parakeet.

The only variable here is what atomizer, and what voltage.

The rest is all personal preference.

* No, I have no plans to mod a dead parakeet as of yet. However LED eyes, and a beek activated switch might look..... ok, that's enough!

I never lost a 901 atty using the Screwdriver but did on the basic 901 and the Prodigy. It may just be a bigger battery holder but I had the same experience and I have read the same from others. I think with the 901, a manual switch keeps the coil cleaner and thus it last longer as long as the voltage doesn't go too high.

Isn't most every post here about personal preferences? I do prefer the Screwdriver but my point was about a FACT and not a personal preference. FACT: My atomizer has lasted since early June and I am a heavy smoker. I purchased 500 ml of juice because I am a heavy smoker. An atomizer can last many years....if you don't use it. That is not the case for me. I vape almost continuously all day long.

So, how long does your atomizer last on your dead parakeet?

nothing more than a battery case

My correction: A battery case with a manual switch and that uses very cheap and long lasting batteries.

Be nice. I was just appreciating the device that I purchased and telling others about it.

I liked my SE 901 - when at peak performance.... which was rarely.

I 'lost' 3 bats and an atty in the first week. At 10 days it was 4 bats and 2 attys.

At $12 a battery - and $10 for atty - that was $68 in parts.

Since 'adopting' my screwdriver I've 'lost' one atty (only lasted a week so I think it was defective) and another that was purchased in mid June.
So since getting my screwdriver I figure the massive amounts I've saved on parts

has been spent on juice.:confused::confused:;)

PS - I love the look and shape of the SD. Sleek, easy to hold and so much smaller than it appears in the pictures.

30 years of smoking....
Vaporized by my Screwdriver!

I run mine at 4.0 to 4.2 volts. I've had a few that lasted 3 weeks, and a few that lasted a day or two. On average I get a week of heavy use out of them. Heavy use being 2½ to 3ml a day.

I wasn't knocking the SD. Just noting that the container housing the batt. should not affect the atty's longevity.

Anyone want to donate a parakeet?
