Yeah!

I have the same issue.

A CE2 with the rubber seal fits a little tighter.

We may have to bond it some way.

It doesn't have to be leak proof, as the e-liquid doesn't come into contact with this area.

A 510 Atty connector is also too loose.

When I come up with a solution I'll post it.

We're talking about JB weld but keep us posted. We'll figure it out.

Turbo, how old are those 510 XL clearo bases you are trying to use? I have some very recent ones and they look like they are going to fit as dan illustrated, that I will actually have to press fit them in....

Can you measure the opening for the CE2 on your Scubagenv3.

Mine scubagen is 0.344" and is too loose for any of my CE2's.

My CE2's are 0.343" ~ 0.344".

TIA

All I have are digital calipers, the opening seems right on at .03465 to me. My CE2 measures about the same as yours when I measure it on the vertical ridges. However, my CE2 has a small ledge or lip right below the ridges.... Measures about .03470 or .03475 there. I don't have any older 510 XL clearo guts, only have 808's so I can't check for the ledge on the older revisions....

A drip tip fits fine in the bottom piece.

However, the same drip tip is loose in the top cap.

The size of both the top and the bottom hole should be the same size which was spec'ed at 0.346".

I concur with your observation on drip tip. Exactly. Snap fit on bottom, slide fit on top....

Yes I have tried many drip tips and the top is definantly a micro somthing bigger. I found that the cherry tips are snug and the ones from madvapes are loose. I have found a simple solution is to remove the oring from the loose tip, and use about 1" of teflon tape twisted tight, then slide the oring back in place over the teflon tape. makes the madvape and SS tips I have tight. But you are correct the bottom and top should be the same. Also the bottom connector will have to be pressed into place so it is a tight fit on the connector.
Hope this helps.

Digital calipers here also!

I can't see pressing the CE2 in further than that lip.

The lip is only ~0.022" and I don't see how this will hold it in place once pressed in.

Edit to add;

Dan, did you press your CE2 in past the thin lip on the CE2?

Or...

Was the knurled part on the CE2 tight enough to press it in up to the lip?

Ok, this is pressed in with a little pressure, it is snug, I will have to 'pop' it in to get it in further...
