i forgot how to check for shorting on mesh...
Santo sounds like you have a short, im vaping at 6 volts on my sb with 4 coils and the amount of vapor and throat hit is awesome. Check to see whether its shorting on the mesh. Currently there is more vapor then a conventional ciggy.

Figured I'd give the battery connectors a try while I wait for the other parts to arrive. Took apart an old 510 atty, cut it close to the connector then used a grinding wheel to get the rest of the atty tube off. Tested the fit, it slid in with relative ease so I put some solder on it and banged it in. Thing aint going nowhere. So for the record, connectors from 510 atties work!

the ce2 does also have air flow through it

hint for cutting the poly tube.. i put a 14mm socket on a 3" extension to back it... depending on the brand of socket you might have to use a different size.

only problem is, my old tubing cutter is worn, and likes to walk, so i had to start hard and its stressing the tube. need to either try a new blade or get a new cutter

Guys I have 2 of mine now built, I'm using ss 400 mesh on one and on the other I am using the wick from Omega Engineering, the Nextel XC-116 this stuff is by far the best wick I have found and I have it on my iAtty. = Nextel Braided Ceramic Very High Temperature Sleeving

Problem I'm having is the quality of the dam vape, it sucks, just not getting a good vape. I did the mesh in a 1.7ohm and I did my nextel wick at 3.5ohm everything seems to be working great have good airflow coils are working both wicks are nice and wet but its a really harsh vape, its unbearable and just no good. Can anyone figure out whats going wrong here or is this how these are supposed to be >??

I guess I should say it's a really harsh hit, to harsh,, I'm also running it on my Provari so I'm using all different voltages too.!

Cut back to 3 or 4 wraps. You are not getting enough heat and therefore not properly vaporizing your juice. This gives you poor vapor and very harsh hits. Try it and you'll see a world of difference right away.

I have 4 wraps on one of them the one with them Mesh, same exact thing as the 6.5 Wraps, ohms are ohms I dont see how that would matter, cant you vape these at whatever ohm you want ? I'm getting vapor, its just very harsh vapor

Ok the harsh taste and immense TH is comming from a short. I have had this before, I removed the top and did a dy burn while blowing on it and found only one wrap was glowing. I took a tooth pick and moved the coil around while pulse dry burning until the entire coil glowed. Dripped some juice on it and the TH dropped and vapor increased.
Hope this helps.

I've gotten the harsh throat hit and "wetter" vape from added resistance somewhere along the path to the coil. Finding it is a pain though, but it makes a world of difference once it is gone. If yours goes away and stays away then probably the mesh is shorting to the coil and the breaking in is getting oxidization to finally break the short by cooking enough juice between the two.
