I have read this entire threads and the others related to it over the past week or so. I thought, "Man did I miss out on a great opportunity!" But I took a shot over the weekend and posted a WTB on this site and Bingo... I was able to purchase two kits from a generous person who had bought but not built the units. When I bought the kits I also ordered the things needed to build them and by the time the units came in (yesterday) I had the stuff to build them. The only thing I have yet to receive is the SS mesh, so I used some Glass Wick (1/16") and it works great!

I forgot to mention that this is this ones temporary home on the KGo... I have a Precise 18P being made from SuperTManufacturing that I should get at the end of Sept... Man I can't wait to put on of these babies on it!

Absolutely incredible Dan! And not a drop of solder goes in the whole thing... Basically, it's a rebuildable UFS, for $55 + Mesh & Kanthal.
I'm just in love with the graphic you built so far. I may try to attach that to a battery and vape it!

Dan, I wanted to use something other than those nails that came with the Supergen V3. So I tapped the existing hole for the negative post with a 6-32 and then took enough of the diameter off the head so that it cleared the poly tube. The 6-32 size thread is smaller than the suggested diamerer by less than .02" going into the .125 hole which isn't significant considering the depth of the hole and it really isn't taking any kind of structural stress...it snug'd in just fine. On the positive side I drill the existing hole out to 5/32" and used shrink tube over the threading to take up the insulating space for the 6-32 screw. They both sit great and are a bit easier to work with. I used brass screws but as I said earlier the head diameters do need to be reduced.

Also want to give you a special Thank You Dan for your Scubagen. I have only been vaping for a few months and I never gave any thought to this becoming a hobby. Then I discovered your posts and my desire to mod was born. I missed out on the co-op but I was fortunate to find someone who had ordered 2 and he was kind enough to sell me 1. I cannot express how much fun this has been. Researching the posts, aquiring the parts (some from some great people in this thread), and finally begining to do the build.
Like someone once said " it's the journey, not the destination". Might sound a little silly Dan, but you are responsible for bringing new fun into my little piece of the world, and I really appreciate it.

Are you still glueing the two poly tubes to the poly tube connector?
Have you tried making this a single piece of delrin or another material?
Looks good! If you decide on a coop. I'm all over it!

Currently it is designed to use existing poly tubing that is coupled (glued) together with a SS coupler. The whole point of the poly tubing is so see the vapor
and any problems (hot spots) on the coil. I could hava a SS or delrin internal air tube made, but that takes the fun out of seeing the vapor being produced. Now if I could find someplace to manufacture it out of either lexan or pyrex so its one piece, that would be the way to go. But that will increase the cost. Will do some checking and get a couple quotes to see.Dan

The cost might increase a little....but you are also eliminating a few parts that will help offset the costs......just a thought.
