DSUv4 Test: (Ceramic wick)
Well I was curious so... I installed a ceramic wick using the ceramic sleeving material. Here are some pics:
Pulled straight through bottom hole, then hooked it and pulled it up through the center hole, then trimmed the ends.

Refilled the tank:

Installed the bottom cap (no holes to drill this way)

And then waited for wick to saturate, notice air bubbles:

Beleive it or not it actually produces more vapor than the SS and the taste is not as robust as the SS but very nice.

Will run through a couple tanks and see what the results are.

more holes per in means more wicking...period...thicker liquids wick better than thin so higher holes per in is mainly for thinner liquids past a certain point...

Personally, I've had thinker liquids wick better with # 325 mesh and thinner stuff wicking much better with higher count mesh like #400, but that's just been my experience and I have not played with higher counts like #500 yet.

Was actually my point...and I have one setup with #500 for my 100%PG juices...between that and making the wick thicker increasing coil wraps and voltage I'm almost in vape heaven...

NEED...MORE.....HEAT....UNNNNGHHHH!!!!...thump
