The ceramic sleeve around the wick eliminates the need for oxidizing the SS mesh as the Kanthal is not in direct contact with it. Scubabatdan reports that it works great.

Dan I have a question. On the main core(bottom) piece where the 510 threaded connector goes, What is the dimension of the bottom slope of the SS? It looks to be .100 or so. Is this correct?
