Ok finally got this thing threaded, had to increase the drill size, and use a bit of oil to get it threaded. Am still looking for a place to make the pyrex pieces, no luck so far.
Here are a couple pics:

Hi Dan,

Shoot me a PM about the pyrex. I have a manufacturer that I talked to about making tanks and he is very interested in talking to you about this project.

Hello everyone,

I've got my ScubaGenv3 wicked and coiled at 2.6 ohms. The wick has been oxidized. My bobas taste great, very clean (best flavor I've ever had) but the throat hit is way to strong. I mean really strong.

I'm using it at 4.2 volts? Am I doing something wrong? Is there anyway to reduce te TH?

Thanks for helping out a genesis newb.

PS. Dan the DSU looks great!

Lower voltage is the only way I can keep the throat hit down and then I am not satisfied with the vapor. So I cant help, but you are not alone!

If you havent used SS wick before...or just the nature of this type of mod... you might need to reduce your nic level...I know I did...from 36mg to about 20mg now.

I noticed there was some talk of the SS wicks and air entrapment...I dont really think at the minute rate fluid feeds in wicks will cause "vapor lock"....IMO. When I ran SS wick I used a "J" type wick and it worked well...even on the CE2's way back when. One...it will eliminate for sure any chance of an air bubble like in a dual feed wick....two...the short end after the coil will act as an immediate reservoir and may help slightly by the siphon effect...I never had a problem with dry wicks...but again...just my thoughts. Good luck!

Adding a very small extra air hole in the top cap will reduce TH. And add alot more vapor.
Just line it up with the coil.

Nicotime,

Thats for the diagram! I have lowered my nic for this build from 18mg to 6mg (thats why i'm so surprised about the TH). Its literally kicking me in the back of the neck every hit, toot, puff what ever you want to call it. :)

One question, should the short end of the "J" wick go into the juice, or be cutoff before that, so that the end is just above the juice reservoir, and below the coil. (right between them both?)

Just my observation the TH seems to be getting less, and less slowly, but less. Maybe my wick just needs to be a little more seasoned?

THANKS EVERYONE for your suggestions!
