The air isn't actually being drawn 'through' the cart but when you are drawing on the eicg the air pressure outside of the cart is reduced and so therefore some of the air in the cart must come out to equalise with the lower pressure being created outside. So in a way it's almost the same thing.

Great post Pete!

You have a gift for stating things in a way that I can easily understand them.

Short, simple and to the point... now why can't I do that?

Thank you... :)

Thought I would chime in concerning the SD switch. You really need to try the SD with the switch where it is at. I was a bit concerned about the switch before buying, but since using the SD with the switch in the rear, I could not imagine going back. Used a 510-Manual before SD and would consistently pick it up and fumble around getting the switch positioned right. With the SD and round mouth piece, I pick it up without a thought I am vaping, just seems natural now.

So true. I don't think any other modded ecig could be more ergonomically correct. There is really no "wrong way" to hold the SD., whatever is comfortable for the user... works. Lots of people seem to want a "side activated switch".

A closer analogy would be the 510. Janty calls it a Dura-C (no one else does), Totally Wicked calls it a Titan(no one else does), ABC supplier(cant remember who) calls it a Yeti....etc, etc.....

Yes, Dietsmokes sells the Dura-C, but they say it is a Janty Dura, giving credit where it is due.............

If the guy want to sell a unit that looks like a Screwdriver, fine............just don't trade on the Screwdriver name that trog has worked hard establishing a reputation for.........

its no different to the other companies calling it a titan or yeti! how is it giving credit where credit is due?

Joye make the 510........not Janty!!........ as far as im aware!

Janty dura is just their rebranded name for a joye 510. and TECC or TW at least have "510" written on the atomiser so if anything they are the ones giving credit!

cheers,

scott

The first mod I constructed from a flashlight had the switch on the back. I hated it. The trouble is, putting the switch on the side where I wanted it makes it get in the way of the battery- unless you make the case a good bit longer- which is undesirable. That, and the fact that construction/assembly gets WAY more complicated- and downright aggravating trying to figure out a GOOD way to put the switch in there, solder everything up, and keep everything electrically insulated. I was able to do it to my satisfaction- but I had to do a good bit of machining using a lathe and a mill. It is a bulletproof device and is as compact as I believe it
could be made. But I have enough work in it that I probably would not build one for someone else- certainly not at a price they would want to pay. I imagine that these issues- compactness, and/or ease of assembly factor into the placement of the switch on the end of some of the popular devices.

The air does not flow throught the cart- it flows around at the flutes as mentioned above. The cartridge simply holds the juice, which wicks into the atomizer by contact of the filler to the atomizer bridge by capillary action. I doubt that a 'low pressure area' has anything to do with it in such a small space. If the fibers get loosely packed enough to have a few of them get under the atomizer bridge, when they dry out to much, then they will melt/burn and produce the foul taste.

I don't know if it's okay to post this here so if one of you mods needs to move it please do so.

Anybody got one of these yet?
I want to order one but haven't seen any reviews/posts about it yet:

Screw Driver

Looks like a SD but the switch is where I want it instead of at the end.

Anyone?
I don't know about all the other stuff in between this post and your original post....but I like the button placement, the two colored led indicator is nice as well. Would I pay that much for it...nope my wife calls me CB for a reason. (Cheap Ba$tard). Now I gonna go back to vapezone where the waters are calm...
