Hey everyone so i got my passthrough comming in the mail right now. Its one without a inline battery so i do have to be careful with it to a certain extent. Im not going to plug it into my computer though lol too scared but i do want to find a better wall adapter than 1000MA i think.

Anyways i have a old iphone USB wall adapter here next to be by GRIFFIN or w.e and its a 5.2V (1000MA) and im sure that it would be fine but then the passthrough would be starving for power a little bit. Was curious to know if anyone has went with a 2amp(2000MA) USB wall adapter on here with the 510 passthrough or where i could find one for cheap around in stores? The more information the better. Thanks for taking your time to read all of this guys. You guys are awesome :D

One thing you'll want to keep in mind if you're going with a 2A outlet... You want to make sure the USB cable you're using can handle that amount of current, it's not just the adaptor you need to watch out for. The cable itself can heat up and melt, and if the insulation is worn off, that amount of current *will* kill you if your skin is wet or it touches an open wound.

o wow 2 amps can kill you o_O ... i think i am just going to stick with 1AMP(1000) i guess o_O. Reason i wanted to go with the 2 amp though is so it had alot of power for higher volts but i guess its not worth it ill do some more digging o_O thanks guys

Heh, it actually takes less then 1A to kill you, but I just wanted you to understand the ramifications of what you are doing so you can be properly prepared beforehand.
I would think that a properly-rated USB cable would make it fine in that regard.
If you could find one, then I would be more concerned with the battery itself, if you charge it too quickly it can overheat, and I'm not sure what the thermal runaway point is for these batteries, but if it's reached, it can cause damage to the battery (where it won't charge) or, as Mythbusters are fond of saying, "catastrophic failure" (Which can include leakage, smoke/fire, or in extreme cases, explosion).
Heh... Who would have thought that I would be able to apply my knowledge of electronics to smoking? :)
