The most ironic thing about that song is that the writer clearly doesnt understand what irony is. Who the has 10000 spoons and no knife?

I have always disliked that song, for that very reason. The only real example of irony in that song is the man afraid of flying, and the first plane he ever gets on crashes. The rest is just examples of bad luck.

I agree. I hear the song at least once a week, as literally every single radio station that we listen to at work plays it. Needless to say the radio gets turned off frequently.
