Second time you've made that impolite remark ..

How wonderful it will be to have the US government and the FDA COMPLETELY out of my tobacco using business. Guess they will have to find another source for tax dollars. Pity.
Hmm, I hear the same gripes in many different areas about the government overstepping it's authority. Firearms, free speech, e-cigs, manufacturing, etc. I think I'm sensing a trend here.
Cheers to that, Grumpster. Very eloquently written synopsis of all of our stances on the matter of electronic cigarettes. If you're ever in Dallas, I'll buy you a beer.
You know, there's always the chance Obama will veto this whole mess.
If he does, I guarantee him my vote next election. I'll sacrifice my Ron Paul vote for such an act, no question.
Wishful thinking.
Oswald shot the wrong Kennedy.

This thread is in amazingly poor taste all of a sudden.
But what really gets me is the total lack of a sense of humor that some people have. Or don't have. Whatever.
I love how people who like to make these kinds of highly charged statements like to imply that their worldview entirely objective.
And before you go pulling rank on me, I'm 45 too.
One man's humor is another's insult. Not everyone sees the world in the same way.
Ok, fine. What will you do when, not IF, but WHEN, the FDA finally bans e-cigs for good and the only people that can have them is the Congress and the President?
I know, this forum will be ablazed with butthurt ex-vapors going back to analogs. That is what will happen. It is no longer an IF at this point.
everyone goes back to smokes. Government gets their tax $$$, yo die of lung cancer, they don't give a sh*t. Status quo.
Quite honestly, I don't see my remarks as "highly charged" enough.![]()
Highly charged? Really?
Compared to other forums this one is chock full of gentlemanly and mature people having gentlemanly and mature conversation.
The only words of the whole article that I liked were, "The ailing senator Ted Kennedy."
The day he dies and spends the rest of eternity in hell, will be a happy one for me.
Oswald shot the wrong Kennedy.
I disagree. He didn't shoot enough of em.
Actually, he didn't shoot any of em,lol.
I can't help it, one more. BigJimW, if you would go back through this thread and delete Kennedy and replace it with Bush, you would have never read the name surf monkey.
This is the kind of unfounded assumption that removes all credibility from everything you post. I suppose it didn't cross your mind that I find those kinds of statements offensive no matter who the target is? I don't think it's appropriate to joke about assassinating any public figure, Democrat or Republican. But I guess if it makes things easier for you to think of me as nothing more than a stereotype, do what you have to do. Whatever gets you through the night, right?
That's a red herring. For one thing, I wasn't commenting on a potential ban, I was commenting on the statements in this thread suggesting that Ted Kennedy should have been assassinated. Furthermore, the assertion that "the only people that can have them is the Congress and the President" is absurd on the face of it.
The above statement strikes me as more reactionary than highly charged. Again, I was talking about your Kennedy remarks.
I was never advocating Ted Kennedys assassination.
