How wonderful it will be to have the US government and the FDA COMPLETELY out of my tobacco using business. Guess they will have to find another source for tax dollars. Pity.

Shhhhhhhh. Don't give them any ideas!

Hmm, I hear the same gripes in many different areas about the government overstepping it's authority. Firearms, free speech, e-cigs, manufacturing, etc. I think I'm sensing a trend here.

Hmmmmm. You don't think that government might actually be overstepping it's authority, do ya?.

Cheers to that, Grumpster. Very eloquently written synopsis of all of our stances on the matter of electronic cigarettes. If you're ever in Dallas, I'll buy you a beer.

Be careful what you offer. I'm right down here is Austin. I might actually take you up on that.

You know, there's always the chance Obama will veto this whole mess.

If he does, I guarantee him my vote next election. I'll sacrifice my Ron Paul vote for such an act, no question.

Wishful thinking.

Outlawing Cuban cigars never stoped Presidents and Generals from enjoying them. Obama will just have his vapes smuggled in if he wants them just like his predicisors has had other contraban smuggled in.

Oswald shot the wrong Kennedy.

There was a right Kennedy?

This whole forum is increasingly depressing lately. I think it's time for me to take a break or watch about 10 of Terraphons reviews.
I come on here and in about 5 minutes I have a piss poor attitude. My own posts even piss me off. But what really gets me is the total lack of a sense of humor that some people have. Or don't have. Whatever.

I love how people who like to make these kinds of highly charged statements like to imply that their worldview entirely objective.

And before you go pulling rank on me, I'm 45 too.

Ok, fine. What will you do when, not IF, but WHEN, the FDA finally bans e-cigs for good and the only people that can have them is the Congress and the President?

I know, this forum will be ablazed with butthurt ex-vapors going back to analogs. That is what will happen. It is no longer an IF at this point.

everyone goes back to smokes. Government gets their tax $$$, you die of lung cancer, they don't give a sh*t. More smokers recruited because cigs are now "FDA Approved" Status quo.

Quite honestly, I don't see my remarks as being "highly charged" enough.

One man's humor is another's insult. Not everyone sees the world in the same way.

Umm. Where did I insult you?
But you are right. Every joke is 75% serious, otherwise it wouldn't be funny. If you have a problem with me sir, you don't have to read my posts. But you are one of those guys that goes around picking peoples posts apart. You have to take everyones opinion and put yours on top of it. In another thread I watched you have a two page argument with people that basically agreed with you. Now go ahead and pick this post apart, which this one you should because it is about you. Have your final say because like my wife that's what you want. I will not reply.

That's a red herring. For one thing, I wasn't commenting on a potential ban, I was commenting on the statements in this thread suggesting that Ted Kennedy should have been assassinated. Furthermore, the assertion that "the only people that can have them is the Congress and the President" is absurd on the face of it.

The above statement strikes me as more reactionary than highly charged. Again, I was talking about your Kennedy remarks.

Highly charged? Really?

Compared to other forums this one is chock full of gentlemanly and mature people having gentlemanly and mature conversation.

I stand by my statement. To review, it was specifically in reference to this exchange:

The only words of the whole article that I liked were, "The ailing senator Ted Kennedy."
The day he dies and spends the rest of eternity in hell, will be a happy one for me.

Oswald shot the wrong Kennedy.

I disagree. He didn't shoot enough of em.
Actually, he didn't shoot any of em,lol.

I can't help it, one more. BigJimW, if you would go back through this thread and delete Kennedy and replace it with Bush, you would have never read the name surf monkey.

This is the kind of unfounded assumption that removes all credibility from everything you post. I suppose it didn't cross your mind that I find those kinds of statements offensive no matter who the target is? I don't think it's appropriate to joke about assassinating any public figure, Democrat or Republican. But I guess if it makes things easier for you to think of me as nothing more than a stereotype, do what you have to do. Whatever gets you through the night, right?

I was never advocating Ted Kennedys assassination. Right Mary Jo Kopechne? :|

He got away with so much, it's not even funny.I remember a scene in Lost in Space. The Jupiter 2 was heading towards the Sun because Dr Smith got Penny Robinson to change the Astrogater to head to the Earth. Pilot Don West looks towards the good Doctor and made only one comment:

There is only one pleasure in this Smith. And that is to watch you fry.

Basically, our Jupiter 2 is flying to the Sun and we're frying ourselves.
