So, I've been reading all the stories of people being openly attacked for using their e-cigs and the claims that is affecting others around them. (Loved the asthma stories. ) Why can't people get over their ignorance, just ask questions and LISTEN before jumping to conclusions? I know the media has a lot to do with misinformation out there as well as people's own misconceptions but why can't they try doing a little research and thinking for themselves? Why are people such sheep?

I'm new to this vaping thing and it makes me almost afraid to be seen in public with my e-cig. I'm scared they might try to hang me for witchcraft or something. I guess it just seems odd when people are persicuted for doing something to improve their health.

It's psychosomatic.

Say you have been around smokers for 20, 30, 40, 50+ years. A vaper comes along vaping away and their body is going to trigger an automated response, like a gag reflex if you please. As far as they are concerned, if it looks like smoke and acts like smoke, it MUST be smoke.

That's where you step in an educate. For some people, getting them to believe that your vapor will (more than likely) not harm them is like getting someone to pet your tame Viper. They don't want to do it, but once they see that little fella' won't hurt ya, they want to know more!

You may have a point there.
Of course, the first time I saw one a little over a year ago, I thought it was some new thing for smoking pot, so what do I know? :D

Yeah, that's great for the ones that want to listen but there always seem to be those who just don't want to hear the facts. They have a preconceived idea in their head and they'll be damned if they will give it up. Thankfully, most people can be reached eventually.
