Seriously. Why does the leaking keep happening?

I have both the Aspire Atlantis and the Kanger Subtank Mini, and both have leaked profusely from the air holes. I've checked everything, and I've searched everywhere. I have yet to find a good answer as to why this is happening.

The Kanger started doing it after two days of use. I put it in a drawer and haven't used it since, even though I was really enjoying it, because I could not figure it out. My local vape shop guy couldn't figure it out, either. I figured it was user error or just a bad tank, which has deterred me from purchasing another one.

The Atlantis was working fine for over a month, until a couple of days ago. Now it's like there's e-liquid condensation all around the bottom, metal part of the tank, plus juice slowly leaking out of the holes themselves.

I've used both of these on the iPV mini with anything from 10 to 25 watts, so the amount of wattage doesn't seem to matter.

If this had happened only on the Kanger, but the Aspire had kept working just fine, then I'd still be working under the assumption that the Kanger one I got was just crap. But now that it's happening to both, I have to ask:

Why does this keep happening, and does anyone have any solid answers/fixes for this problem?

Check the orings on the subtank a small number had smaller then they should be if needs be you should have a spare set put them on and see if it helps, also I know it sounds stupid but make sure the glass tank is fully seated on the top oring friend of mine had leaking with his and that was the cause not properly sealed not enough pressure to keep things nice and neat. If your having the issue with the rba section wicking is likely the issue there I have two bought at different times from different venders so doubtful on it being a design issue as both of mine have been really good tanks.

my atlantis leaks out the air hole completely in five minutes. I think I know what might be wrong. the "castle" does not line up. the holes are behind the wall. I don't know if that is the problem but for starters how do I fix that?

To the OP on the Atlantis you may have everything screwed together too tight. I know that sounds counterintuitive, but it can be a factor.

To nic Fix - Just unscrew the top cap a little till the holes line up in the castle. But that should not be the source of your leak. Sounds like both of you have an air leak issue.

Make sure everything isn't over tightened, that can cause to much pressure. Also the weather is getting warmer, so that means all your juice is going to be slightly thinner from temp change. So are you using 50/50 juice or higher vg? My atlantis prefers 70vg blends.

duh! all this time I was tightening it until it stopped. I see I was crushing the gasket.

I figured the tighter the better as would many people I think. so like 6-7 months of juice everywhere and now solved. this comes right on the heels of a 2.0 duh.
I mean my fault, but I did not get optimum usage out of this. well at least I know this now because it probably applies to any tank device.

It applies to anything that uses rubber as gaskets/seals, not just attys. If you over-tighten, it won't seal as designed.

I crank mine down pretty tight and have not had a leak yet on any of my 5 Subtanks or my Atlantis, maybe I'm lucky. Of course now that I've posted this I'm sure they will all leak out over night.

My daughter's tank was leaking profusely this morning. It was because the coil got spun around and the wicks came out of the side slots, letting too much fluid into the coil casing. I rewicked it with a big ol' roll of cotton, and it worked great. That's probably not what's wrong with the OP's, or the guy at the vape store likely would've noticed it. Maye it'll help someone else, though.

I guess I am a torque gorilla. no wonder every friction fit plumbing job I ever took part in failed lol. I seriously did not know this as stupid as I seem. I just thought you turned anything and everything until it stopped! glad I just learned this even though it comes a little late in life. it is not leaking at all. before it drained in 5 minutes. excuse me please I have to go kick myself.

My rule for tightening down loosely screw till it stops then a quarter turn never had a problem and it's easy to remember always a plus as you get older .

nope. still completely leaking loose. i must have killed the gasket. great. this comes on the heals of my sx mini failing. not my day.

atlantis you screw it till you feel it tighten itself... over tight is no good

atlantis is the most leak free tank i've used so far... subtank leaked for me...

Are you enduring drastic temperature changes during the day? I know going from my 60 degree shop then walking outside at 30 degrees used to make my mini seep at the airflow, but that was using thin juice and the OCC's. I'm now using nearly max VG exclusively with the RBA's and I have no leaking.
