It is time to play politics because common since does not work.
For people that have some age on them my remember back in the late 70's Jimmy Carter publicly recommended that someone invent a safe cigarette. His brother and sister died of cancer. People made fun of him for suggesting such a dumb idea. Will that idea is here. He loves politics and likes to get on the news. This is away for him to save the life of millions or people. It is another "Hope for Humanity" for him. X presidents still have political power.

Jimmy Carter can be contacted at:453 Freedom Parkway, Atlanta, GA, 30307.

Phone: 800-550-3560
404-420-5100
Fax: 404-331-0283

His email address is : carterweb@@emory.edu

I was told to write or fax would be the best way to contact him. The email is screened by someone that might not get it to him.

On a stranger note:
We should also get Jessa Jackson and Al Sharpton on the wagon as the % of black people smoking is greater than the % of white people smoking. Banning e-cigs is just another way the the Fed Gov wants to kill the black man or does not care for them. There is now a way to keep black people who smoke a way out of one of the many types of bondage that was put on them by the old tobacco growing slave owners. But does the goverment care no, just like New Orleons.

i would not write jimmy carter for anything...i cannot stand him...

and forget al sharpton and jesse jackson.,..

no matter how much i want e-cigs to be legal i rather not have any of their support

Why do we always have to allow our political bias to come into play here? It's assinine, IMO. I mean, seriously. Aren't we all here to promote e-cigarettes? I wouldn't think twice about writing to Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin and any number of other 'wingers who I find personally repugnant if I though they could make a difference on this issue. Who gives a crap if you don't like Carter? His politics really isn't the issue in this case.

Exactly we are not here to split hairs......if my mother in law could help, she'd be my new best friend

I have to agree with you Monkey. The basis for me wanting them legal is not solely for me to be able to vape and be healthier. If that was the case, I would grow my own tobacco, make my own juice, and mod my own vaporizer. My personal interest is to help the reduction in deaths of my fellow man and woman from the effects of smoking cigarettes. I honestly don't care what your race, creed, religion, political or any other declaration is. It makes no difference in the campaign to help out my fellow man.

I would never write to an anti-Semitic to help out with my cause, there are boundaries i draw on

You've got to stand on your principles, I guess. Personally, I wouldn't characterize anyone who's been mentioned yet as an anti-semitic, but that's just my POV. You're welcome to think whatever you want to think.

And for what it's worth, I do think Limbaugh is a racist. As loathsome as I think that is, I'd still lobby him on e-cigarettes if I though he could help.

I can list hundreds of examples that have proven his antisemitism in the past 30 years of him meddling in the middle-east, and what he has said and who he rather work with like hamas terrorists and equating Israel to nazi germany. It is one thing to criticize Israel, but another to tell outirght lies and compare them to one of the worst horrors of the 20th century and just other day he came outright and said he refuses to recognize Israel as a jewish state and that to call it a Jewish state is a blockade to peace.

Sorry but I call it as it is and so do 99% of most jews

i can also list he was one of the worst presidents we ever had in the oval office, thanks to his foreign policy he helped changed the Iran regime into the one we have now, and it is because of him we have the problems we have today. He also did nothing at all when it came to the iranian hostage crisis.

He needs to stop meddling into middle east, he has no business being there

Go ahead and miss the point even further.

If you're not interested in writing to Carter, that's fine. Give the agenda pressing a rest, though. We're all trying to work together here. That kind of anti-Carter rant doesn't help.

I was responding where you said you do not believe him to being antisemitic, and i was proving you wrong

I have no love for carter at all..in fact i am not sure who is worst obama or carter both have no clue how to do deal with foreign policy by just leaving it alone and stop interfering...time will tell

Politics and religion will ruin it all if you want to let it. You agree with who may help, then write them. You don't agree, then don't. There is no need here to bring personal agenda into the mix. It will only serve to repel possible new members, and create infighting among us all. How does that help out with promoting vaping and saving lives of smokers?

Unfortunately, the former Pres. Carter has lost almost all creds in this part of the world too. He is what would you say, acting a little foolishly, the last few years IMO.

which is why i would not want to get his support for e-cigs, it would hurt the cause more then help.

sometimes i think he just lost his mind, it is the nicest thing i can say about him to explain his actions
