Serpent needs an upgrade

Just bought me a Serpent. Running it on an ipv3 80w. Its decent, but I want more flavor. What mod would be a good match?

I don't think its your mod . 80W is more than it needs. Maybe try raising or lowering your coil.

I still have the same coil that I put in mine since I got it, running at about 60w. Flavor for days try a Clapton if you can.

The mod really shouldn't affect the flavour. As long as you can push the needed power, and the ipv can certainly do that.

Your flavor isn't great because 80w on a 0.8 ohm single coil is beyond ridiculous. I run 0.4 ohm duals @55-65w and they get hot in less than 3 sec. Jumping huge amounts of power through a coil is great for clouds but kills flavor fast.

The mod maxes out at 80w. I vape at around 25w on the .8

But yeah flavor is all about your build, wicking, chamber size, airflow, and temp. Wattage only matters in so far as reaching the right temp. So basically as long as your mod provides enough wattage to reach temp it has no role in flavor at all.

It's all in the tank/rda.

Thanks for all the replies! Learning a lot these days and its quite a steep learning curve. So I should get better flavor if I use, say a .4 ohm clapton and also improve wicking skills, with the same wattage?

I would also play around with the height of the coil, that makes the most difference in flavor IMO. The Serpent is a (IMO) a killer flavor tank so it shouldn't take much fiddling to find your sweet spot.

I run a .46 ohm Clapton in my Serpents and the flavor is fantastic. Usually between 25-30 watts
