Server Busy Try again Later?

Starting yesterday I keep getting the "server busy/ try again later". Is this an issue that the forum is already aware of? Too many of us on the site at one time?

I've got that and the screen is jumbled up when I do manage to get a page to open. i.e. the headers are "out of place" and extend beyond the normal page width...

I emailed the powers that be. Hopefully it gets to whomever the ECF web-master is.

Try squirrels they are cheaper. There has been instability on the site for about three days now. Hopefully it is a quick fix. Best of luck

OK, the trouble is, there are too many of you...

We are regularly getting over 1,000 online at a time now, and it's time for a new server to be added. Unfortunately that won't happen for 2 weeks - so if you can visit at off-peak times for the next few days, that will help. Any time from 4am thru 9am will be excellent.

I've been on forums with 10x the members and haven't had much of a problem, either. Of course, those forums used pretty expensive multi-server setups, and the owners had a much... MUCH bigger budget to work with.

We want to add another box but there is some reorganizing to do first. Just hang tight...

You might want to list peak times on the home page. Lots of us who could would avoid those and hit the low peaks for better response. I can understand that people tend to hit ECF right after supper, when the kids are in bed, and late at night.

Of course, everyone might run to the other side of the boat at one time and cause it to capsize. Maybe a dual 16 core Intel CPU motherboard with 128 GB of ram and a rack of routers and switches would be nice. Anyone get their income tax refund yet? Send it to Rolygate.
