Hi there!

Freshly registered member and complete rookie to vaping scene seeking for a kick into right direction.
Aslo i would like to share a bit of my story/wall of text... cheers (also i apologize for my english)

I started smoking quite early, at age of 9 (sadly) and i've been passionate smoker ever since for almost 20 years.
I had some failed attempts to quit smoking but failing at it every single time.. so i gave up on trying...

I knew about e-cig's for quite some time but never had a chance to try one or interract with anyone that's been using one.

Went on a business trip to Germany on monday and yesterday while i was driving back home to Croatia i decided to make a stop and visit an old friend of my parents that i personaly haven't seen for good 10 years.

I was warmly welcomed and asked to stay for a dinner. While we were eating their son pulled, out of nowhere, something that looked from a distance like one of those electric pepper mills that we use at home but when he "puffed" i almost choked laughing..
Never seen anything like it and few moments after i found that all 5 members of his family are vaping so the conversation started and they really got me intrigued... especially the part where i still get the proper dosage of nicottine but getting rid of the terrible smell from hair, fingers and clothes.

When i was packing home their son gave me one of the starter kits from Innokin Cool Fire to start my own venture into vaping.
I really dig the look and length of it compared to their "bazooka" like mods.

Now...
While unpacking (as i'm complete noob) i came to conclusion that i'm missing some parts :D so i went "googling" and realised that i need both charger and batteries (18350) which i already ordered along with few samples of "ejuice" as i will probaly have to match flavors to my current analogs.

My question here is (as i'm getting overwhelmed with info here and getting it hard to connect all the dots at the moment) what else would i need to add to my new e-cig set since i will be travelling again in 2 weeks and will be gone for 2-3 months so i want to get armed with all the needed/essential stuff - for the sake of avoiding panic attacks and getting back to analogs.

Thanks in advance!

Dottie

p.s i forgot to mention that i smoke up to 30 cig's per day (Marlboro white/gold) for past 10 years so i would appreciate suggestion of ejuice simmilar to that.

Welcome Dottie. Sounds like you have most of what you need. What are you using for toppers? You need some toppers for the ejuice, or extra heads or coils for the ones you have. And a digital multimeter to check your battery voltages.

Hi!
I appreciate fast reply!
I have nothing at the moment (except pretty looking Innokin) just the stuff i ordered; efest 2x 18350 900 mah batteries and nitecore i2 charger with few 10ml sample of mystic juice mixtures (everything should be delivered on monday)

Also i can see that cool fire is not a real mod so i'm even more confused now.. heh
Should i order 2-3 more iClear 30b tanks to be safe for next 2-3 months? Are there other replacable parts?

I know i should have done more reading (tho finding proper info on Cool Fire is rather hard for me) but since i'm travelling soon i want to travel analog/smell free.

cheers

Its hard to point you to stuff because I'm not sure where you are and where is best for you to buy from. I think you need to learn how to use the stuff you have - the iClear 30b tanks. You can buy replacement atomizer heads, like this:
Atomizer Head for Innokin iClear 30B 'Bottom Coil'

But you may find you like a different kind of topper - like an Evod, or Protank, or Aerotank. I think to start with when you have your stuff - try some juice in the tanks you have. If you like those then just get some more atomizer heads.

Hey, good decision. It gets easier and more enjoyable as there are less restrictions and frowns out and about.
Like kiwivap said get a clearomizer or two eg. Aerotank & iClear 30s, Aspire tanks are good too. Add some coils, around 10 for each. And start looking for a juice you like.
Easier said than done.
Then persevere for a month while your taste buds play hide and seek. Bring them back with a change of flavour.
Get an 18mg juice for first and 12mg to vape all day if you smoked 20-30. 12mg and 8mg if less, or work towards this over time.
50/50 mix is good, and expect a dry mouth for the first weeks to a month. I have no idea on suggestions for ejuice, maybe pick a smooth tobacco and something like mochachino/cappuccino. Hope this helps. Tough it out mate.

Thanks to both kiwivap and L33R0Y. I pretty much got all the esentiall info i needed. Guess i was mixing clearomizer with atomizer.
I have access to basically everything mentioned by both of you and can get it delivered withing 3 days which is big plus in my book as i can see some are waiting for several weeks.
The juices i ordered all have around 18-19mg nic so i guess i should be fine to start and slowly aiming to lower the level eventually.

I will stick to your suggestions (especcially adding coffe flavour) and add the needed stuff so i can remain calm heh.

Thanks a bunch guys!

My advice would be to get the tobacco that you think you will like (but remember no tobacco ejuice taste like a cigarette. Purchase a flavored ejuice just in case you do not like the tobacco one. Start at 18mg. Drink lots of water and you sound set to go! :)
Adding mocha and vanilla and will stop for now before i burn my vaping budget.

Thanks

Welcome my friend. I congratulate you and your friends. It is a huge present to make someone start vaping. Let me inform you for this adventure as if you dont have anything to begin with.

1- We are not addicted to brand names. although the tobacco companies do everything to us for we addict their brand. "We are addicted to nicotine"Always think this. as long as you get enough nicotine. As we had out of our brand we get one from a friend we dont like but we smoke all the same. When we quit smoking we are saved from those other addictive ingrediences too. So in the light of this information, you have to focus to the nic strength of the liquid first. You will find a flavor you like on the journey for sure. But have high strength first. Dont be afraid nic as a poison you freel dizzyness headache and cold sweat and it heals within half an hour. with high for you nic level you can use vegetable based glycerine to dilute it.

2- for the beginning, make sure you have a spare for everything. Even liquid. Yesterday our elevator serviceman came asked me if mine is e-cig too and told me that his mother had bought him one but in the middle of traffic his battery was out so he began smoking again after a weeks lapse. In fact in my case after a week I tried a cheap liquid which was sold me and without nicotine I tried a cigarette too but it was very bad, taste, smell... so I went to buy a real liquid and happy I am since than. I mean after a while you will not be able to smoke a cigarette But make sure you have a spare for everything, always.
3- Make sure you learn how to dry burn or chage your heads even remake one with the help of youtube and this forum. This is a new language for you I but be patient. you will learn everything when it is necessary.
4- by the way dont fight with cigarettes. How many you smoked during the voyage is not important. How many you did not, matters.
well bon voyage to tou my friend. Be sure you are always in this forum in which there are many people which will be very happy to help you.

I've stayed away from tobacco flavors because i don't want to try to replicate smoking.

Thanks for advice but sadly i never really liked any flavoured cigarettes.. could smoke few but could never make myself to jump to like vanilla/menthol ones. I like the pure taste of tobacco and my goal here is to ditch as much poisons as humanly possible and lower the nic levels eventually and was told that vaping ticks a lot of boxes.
Another thing is to ditch the smell and maybe save some money on the way (i know it wont be possible in the beginning but once i find the sweet spot with gear and juice i hope i will. Who knows Cool Fire might be the sweet spot right of the bat. I've set my anti-analog day to my birthday which is in 4 days and by then i should have all my gear)

I'm really thankfull for the gift otherwise i would probably never bother with vaping. Also a first hand experience that i got from them kinda opened my eyes.
Doing quite a lot of research and reading at the moment to make sure i have everything that i need to start and avoid being without something to make excuses to reach analogs again.
4.
Wise words!
Thank you

Now back to reading and soaking up the data!

Thanks to everyone for pointers and suggestions!

Hi!

A smallish update with few questions (didn't want to open a new thread)

Got all my gear/missing parts on tuesday evening and been vaping ever since and LOVING it so far. I had only 1 analog on wednesday morning and that was not a craving but a bad habbit that i grew... grabbing smokes right after waking up :(

I've been smoke free for 5 days now and got used to vaping like it was the thing i did for past 19 years. Found my ways to kill the craving with higher nic levels in the morning and before bed time + inhaling directly into lungs does wonders (awesome tip i picked up from one of the threads here)

About the gear now..
Innokin Cool Fire does the job and it's fairly decent and well built device which i prefer carrying around.
I get a decent throat hit and amount of smoke is spot on with my analogs so i'm more than satisfied with my kit.
Added Aspire Nautilus and eGo 650 - "Magic Stick" -which i use at home since it has 5ml tank

While i adore Nautilus i'm having some issues with it... getting quite often dry/burnt hits (only have 2 heads that came with package) and it seems like the wick is not getting enough liquid. Found a minor solution to it (blow/pull with air ring closed until i see bubbles to get some liquid on wick so i get 4-5 puffs before i have to repeat that) but it's still kinda annoying but i can live with it.

The biggest fuss i have now is with liquids as i cant find the proper tobacco flavor that does not leave sweet taste after.

Overall i'm more than pleased with my short experience as it keeps me far away from analogs.

Now i have few more questions about additional gear i'm about to order.
I alredy ordered few more atomizers for both iclear 30b and nautilus.
Since Nautilus can be rebuilt i would like to start building my own coils for it and save some money if possible.
I also found Smok RDA which i find rather interesting to test flavors and was wondering if i could build my coils around 1.8 - 2 Ohm coils and use it on either eGo or coolfire to get more stealthier device even?
If so what gear would i need to start building my own coils for both nautilus and Smok RDA (can't seem to find anything other than sub ohm builds)?

Thanks a bunch!!

Could be you have the airflow to open. Try closing it down to the next smallest hole.

Also I hate to tell you this but there are quite a few fake Nautilus's going around. Have you checked the security code on the Aspirecig.com website?

If it is a fake that could be part of the reason.

To my knowledge there are NO Tobacco flavors that take the place of an analog. They all tend to leave an after taste, even if they initially taste like tobacco. At least that is my experience.

I suggest you deal with the after taste and start looking for some other flavor as an All Day Vape. Sooner than you know you won't be craving the Tobacco flavor.

In the Juice section of these forum there is a long, actually several long, threads on tobacco flavors and or the Lack there of.

Take a look at Youtube, Rip Tripper, for a video on rebuilding the Nautilus with a single coil. As far as Ohms is concerned I think it is more the gauge of wire you use and the number of coils wraps you have. Not sure as I'm not planing on doing any building right now. I'm more focused on staying away from analogs.

Dot - Guten Tag!

Congratulations on your steps to reducing/eliminating the cigarettes you have smoked. I haven't started rebuilding any coils yet, but the VERY FIRST thing in which you will want to invest is some sort of ohmmeter - if you under-build or short your coils, BAD things could happen. You're then looking at kanthal wire (gauge to your preference) and wicking material (again, to your preference)

Cheers
