Questions I'm new at this vape thing as well do I have to change anything if I replace my 0.3 cool to a 0.5 coil?
If you're changing from .3 to .5 then your wattage range is going to be very different.
The max wattage that is safe to use with .5 is 35w and it is not recommended to go above that(if i calculated correctly that is...others please correct me if I'm wrong ).
You can always use the ohms law to calculate these things. Or just use a mobile application or steamengine website for such calculations.

The user manual is here and contains all the settings. This one is readable. I can never read the tiny print on the wallet sized manual in the box.
User manual for Istick Pico 75W Box Mod|how to use Istick Pico 75W vw/TC box mod

Set the TCR for stainless coils at 92. It default to 120 from the factory and it's too hot, at least for me.

The only weak point in the Pico that I've found is in the two Torx screws that hold the top plate in place. The screws are next to the battery cap between the atomizer and the battery cap. The pressure on the top plate from the battery cap tension will make them back out over time. You can tell that's happening when the top plate starts to rise up. You can see the nice flush fit turn into a gap when that happens. You'll also get a misfire when that happens because the battery is making an intermittent connection. Just remove the battery and cap and tighten the screws.

At some point that will start to happen more often. The screws are threaded into a slot in the fiber-plastic-bakelite frame. The easy fix is to take out the battery and remove the screws. Cut a piece of copy paper about 3/16" wide and slightly shorter than the screw length. Fold it lengthwise and push it into the screw hole and replace the screws. I thought about glue but decided against it. I want to be able to remove the screws if I need to.

Where the screws thread into isn't actually a hole, it's a slot that was cut when the frame assembly was created. The screws thread into the slot.
