Do you find it hard to "settle" for lesser vapes after trying something better? What I mean is when you get your latest gear and it vapes better than your old stuff, are you suddenly less than satisfied with the old stuff?

For example: I've slowly been inching further and further into vaping. When I fot something new and it performed well I would start buying more of it to replace the old. That's fine with cheaper things like protanks, but becomes an issue with the more expensive items.

When i started dripping it wasn't as bad because it wasn't very feasible for me to drip out and about. Otherwise I would have wanted to replace the protanks and drip exclusively. However I was able to breath new life into the old protanks by rebuilding the coils.

Now I've tried a Taifun clone and entered the world of RBAs. Now when I go to vape, I seem to be wanting that instead of my older tanks. I've found myself wishing I had an RBA for each flavor like I did the tanks. Problem is, that's going to get pricy, and I know one day something better will come along and I'll want to replace those then.

Where do you draw the line? It's one thing to go from cartos to clearos and then to glassos. But after that. ...... granted I could just go all clone and it wouldn't be much more than the protanks. My concern is I want to know I've got quality that will last in the RBAs, in the event of vapopolis. I'm less concerned with clone mod quality than I am with clone RBA.

There's nothing wrong with my other vapes, and they satisfy me. I think part of the problem is deciding which juice will get the honor of filling the new tank. Now I find myself wondering what my juices are like in this tank.

Anyone else face this dilemma when getting new gear that outperforms their old gear? Do you just get over it or give in to it?

Started with the clearo's and the disappointment that came with em for a long time. Then found the drippers and thought OH Yeah! then came the Kayfuns, Russian, Taifuns how could it get any better than that. Then the Aqua. Got four of them. How could it get any better. Now the Fogger v4 haven't got it yet, but it's on the way. It's a vicious cycle, but I always find myself breaking out the old clearos, rebuilding them, and still enjoying them somewhat. Just love the vape.

I'm about 2 days away from being able to order a second and third Kayfun clone. My protanks, aerotank, and nautilus have been unloved and alone for weeks. I know exactly what you mean.

My plan is to just never try another topper. :D

Haha yeah if you never try another, you'll never know what you're missing!

I no longer use clearomizers. They are nice for novice vapors to learn on as they are easy to fill and easy to replace the coils. However they are relatively inconsistant (dry & burnt hits or flooding issues) and often mute flavors. This is due in part to their inferior wick & coil design.

I use higher quality cartotanks, which are more consistant and provide better flavor production. Paired with a cartotank, a cartomizer is a much improved coil & wick design over clearomizers. I use only one brand over the last several months due to their higher quality: IBTanked pyrex cartotanks.

Tried a bottom feeder box mod. Not my thing for the way I vape. I have used a genesis-style RBA, again not my thing; I didn't care for stainless steel mesh wicks, leaking if not kept upright, having to tilt to vape, and just an overall fussiness requiring frequent tinkering. High learning curve and not a great design.

I've been using an authentic Kayfun Lite Plus RBA for about two months, and it has become my primary juice delivery device. Great flavor, decent vapor production, excellent consistancy, simple to build and maintain over time. Better design and a low learning curve.

Mod wise, I prefer my Provari's over my several other mods (mechanical & regulated). I've been spoiled by what I feel is the superior chip made by Provape. No other mod compares in delivering a quality vape from the beginning of a freshly charged battery until it needs to be replaced - the last puff is as good as the first. My other mods's vapes can not compare. They are dependable, reliable, and consistant.

For the way I vape, I can't imagine a better combo: Kayfun with a Provari.

Ever feel like wanting to replace your carto tanks with more kayfuns? That's kinda where I'm at. My other gear works fine, but now that I've seen what RBAs offer, I would rather dump everything and get 9 of those to replace everything I've got. I don't really see it as feasible, but it just makes me not enjoy my other vapes as much. I shouldn't say that because I'll still enjoy my other vapes, I just see myself grabbing the RBA over everything else. I'll buy more for sure but I need to find a happy medium somewhere. I like each juice to have it's own tank, atty, etc. Usually once I put a juice in something it stays there until that juice bottle is empty and I didn't buy more.

Anyone else face this dilemma when getting new gear that outperforms their old gear? Do you just get over it or give in to it?

Happened to me in a very short time. When I started vaping I thought my eGo 1100mAh was great. Then I got a Vivi Nova tank (v1) and it was terrific. Got me an Indulgence with 18650 1300mAh battery and three voltage settings (3.5, 3.7 & 4.2) plus an Aerotank. This seemed like a quantum leap until I splurged for an eVic and a Nautilus. Later on, the eVic connector threads went South (Guatemala in my case) ;) and got a cheap Kamry K101 mech to get by while the eVic replacement, a Sigelei W20 arrived. I also got me a Smok Magneto as I digged the mechs and the Kamry seemed like so much junk.

The eVic was repaired under warranty and by then I wanted to try rebuildables (I was repairing the Aerotank heads every three or four days, the Nautilus went to the shelf) so I got a Kayfun clone (three actually as they were $16.30 each in bulk). They leaked horribly so I got one of the $32 best from FT. This one is quite fine but I wanted dual coils so I ordered a Fogger v4 after watching the reviews in U tube....

I'm now at that stage but waiting for a Nemesis with Dome and also ogling the new eVic Supreme which the manuafcturer says won't fail me (wonder why they cut the warranty period from 60 to 30 days then?).

And the beat goes on... and on... and on...!

In any case, almost every step of the way has been forward. :vapor:

What happened to the Fogger? :)

I don't know much about the Fogger. I've seen one in a vape shop, but don't know anyone who has owned/used one. I guess the experience would be which clone you get, as there are a few. Rip Tripper didn't care for the one that he reviewed.

My only experience with RBA's is with the AGA-T2 genesis-style. :nah: Too fussy & time-consuming, I didn't care for stainless steel wick, having to genny-style tilt to vape, or the likelihood of the device leaking if not kept upright.

I also have a genuine Kayfun Lite Plus 2. I like everything about this RBA. It's easy to build, doesn't leak unless low on juice, has great flavor, and is consistant. Great build quality.

Just get a bunch of kayfun's/russian's and be done with it. The eh pro v2 is amazing, pretty close to my real one. The KFL/Rus has been my go to atty ever since I took my first vape out of it. I have a collection of protank variety collecting dust as we speak. The protanks can be setup well with cotton as well but still miles behind the kfl. I just added a squape to the collection. Does it stop since I am happy...? Probably not unless some type of financial crisis for me. I should seek vaper rehab on buying stuff.

I would love to have a few more Kayfuns, but I'm unsure about the quality of the various less expensive clones available. I can't afford to buy another genuine one. In fact, being on a very limited income, I can't afford to buy a clone either.

I still have a dozen IBTanked cartotanks, which I still often use. But my Kayfun is my current go-to delivery device for sure.

I used to always do that but then I got a Provari and Nautilus. I just quit being so picky and vape it and enjoy it. I have 1 juice that I have been using for a couple months(Five Pawns Gambit), it's fine its not like super amazing or anything anymore but it works fine and the taste doesn't bother me at all so I just stick to it only now with my setup. I just make sure I do proper maintenance to my gear and replace heads when they go bad. Its not worth the headache and I'm really not looking to go play e-liquid roulette anymore so I'm happy with this.

In all honesty I probably will end up buying a bunch. However there are several Taifun/kayfun, russion varients to pick from. From what I can tell, there are many clones that are a lot different than the originals too. Guess they wouldn't be clones then huh? I don't want to buy a bunch of one, only to find out a different varient would have served me better. By the time I try them all I'll have enough, that are probably similar enough to make me happy.

There's something to be said about the simplicity of settling on one or two juices. I've got 10-20 right now and will probably reorder less then half. I get tired of buying new juices only to find they don't excite me.

I was this way when I got my provari. My plan was to only use it at home and still use my spinners when I was out and about. That didn't last long at all. I love my provari so much that now I am in the process of saving up for a Mini just to keep in my carry case.

For delivery devices though I mainly stick to carto tanks. I have a few flavors that I run through a Protank but usually its all carto tanks. I haven't delved into the world of Kayfuns yet. I might this summer since I already know how to build a coil on a dripper.

I had this problem too. I started with the mini pt and that was great then i wanted to hold more juice so i got a ton of pt 2 then discovered how easy it was to build the coil so i got a bunch of kf clones. had issues with those leaking so moved to the taifun clone. Those are great and i use them a lot for my favorite juice and use the pt for cheaper minty juices that really dont matter if the flavor is muted. I also have a few IBTanks that i like to use as well. I think i am done. I have two provaris and several mechanicals. Those i use at home and the provaris are for work and out and about. I dont have time to mess with things when at work. last week was the first week since i started vaping that nothing was ordered. I think i might have finally found my end all be alls. But then again i want a copper mod cause i just really want to patina something. lol

I like my Taifun clone. Holds a ton of juice. Makes me feel like I'm dumping a half a bottle for one use though. My more expensive juices I've just been dripping and they last me a while. With the tank size of this it will seem like they go a lot quicker.

I am in the same situation, I had a Segeili and was tempted to get a Provari. Now I have a Provari Mini and the difference using it with my Kayfun is like night and day. The flavor, the quality of vaping went to a new dimension with this setup.

I also feel that exchanging juice and swapping is not a good thing to do as the wick gets messy and the taste after a while is not the same as flavors mix.... I also would rather have several Provari / Kayfun setups, but the $$$$ is the issue. Each setup kicks me back around $200 which is not only insane if you ask me but also impossible to explain to my wife. I would see it possible to get a second Kayfun and Swap the tanks only between my ADV and the Gourmet stuff I do at home after dinner watching a movie etc.

Vaping is a different adiction then smoking analogs I have to say, its the MODs, the Tanks, the technology, and juice you would like to try etc.... which if you are not careful can get you in a bigger hole then smoking analogs :D $$$$$ hihi hi hi

i actually started off with kayfuns and mechs. i've tried other peoples ego/mvp/other vv setups with clearos and cartos and was always disappointed. the flavor is weak and disappointing.

i was happy with the kayfun, and still am, but i just don't use my kayfun anymore.

nowadays i pretty much use my gennies and drippers. mostly my rocket and origen v2. i like genesis atomizers due to their clean, flavorful taste with ss mesh. the rocket's super reduced chamber helps with the flavor a lot as well. i find it easy to setup and maintain. i use a variation of the petar k method so not preoxidization of the wick is necessary. just set up a microcoil, slide a super solid 500 mesh through the coil, pulse, and you're good. dryburn every couple of days. it wicks well, so not need for ridiculous tilting.

i mainly just drip at home, but i do take it out once in awhile.

honestly, after using a good quality genny and learning to set it up well, i haven't found anything that comes close to the flavor and convenience it gives.
