A bit of a background, I started vaping with a disposable and eventually switched to a pod mod with the Frenzy. I liked it a lot but eventually switched to the Vapefly Jester after finding out that it has a rebuildable deck. The Jester kinda set the standard for me when it comes to how I want to vape but my only gripe with it is that the battery doesn't last and it's very hard to fine tune when it comes to the flavors that I vape. I also wanted to buy something that's more modular so I could replace the bits and pieces without having to re-purchase the whole setup should it die.

Fast forward to now and I decided to buy a Geekvape Lucid kit. It's really cheap where I live and offers a wider variety of atomizers in terms of size because it has support for 24mm diameter as opposed to the eleaf iStick Pico 75W's 22mm. These are dated mods I know but the pool for mods and atomizers in my country aren't really as vast, albeit they can be a lot cheaper. Anyways, I decided to pair it with the Ammit MTL rda and so far I'm liking it. The draw is perfect and the flavor is about as good if not a hair worse than my Jester. My current build on it is a 0.6 ohm Kanthal 26ga and I vape it at 20W. I vape 0mg freebase liquid with the ratio usually being 70/30 or 80/20 VG/PG depending on the flavor.

What I'm looking for is a setup that can pretty much accommodate higher VG liquids that can improve on the setup I have now while still maintaining that tight MTL draw. Typical mtl setups that I find are more geared towards higher PG ratios whereas the sub-ohm options typically have looser airflow and really wide drip-tips which I don't like.

IMO, if they're available there...I'd recommend that you try either the full size (24mm) original version Vandy Vape Berserker MTL RTA or the full size version 1.5 of the same RTA. Either of those will handle 70VG/30PG and 80VG/20PG eliquids with no problems. Both come in the Mini size, too, but I prefer the full size.

The full size, original version is my personal all-time favorite RTA. It's the 1 I've chosen to stock up on in a good-sized quantity for my longterm vape "stash". Several reasons I chose it were: The vapor is extremely smooth and very flavorful. The deck is really easy to build on. It's consistently been a non-leaker for me. A tank of eliquid lasts a good while, even though I'm pretty much a chain vaper. There are 5 choices of airflow hole sizes to select from (with the smallest one being only .8mm in diameter), so finding one that suits me was easy. They also come with 2 drip tips (1 Ultem + 1 Black Delrin) that are definitely for MTL vaping. I also love that the original full size Berserker comes with 2 tank sizes an types...(1) Ultem 2mL and (1) Glass 4mL.

The original version Mini comes with 3 tank sections, all 2mL - (1) steel, (1) Ultem, and (1) glass.

Berserker RTAs are topfill, but many of us choose to bottomfill them instead, since you have to remove a part to fill it either way anyway. Bottomfilling it eliminates any potential gurgling right after refilling, and it also lets me check out how my coil and wick look with each refill.

A friend prefers the version 1.5, in the Mini size, though. She has her own reasons for liking it better than the 1.5 full size or either size of the original Berserker.

Will take note of the Berserker. The only available one in my country is the Berserker Mini 1.5 going for around $9 USD (for context, the Ammit RDAs I got were for $7.50 each and the Ammit RTA is $12 all authentic). What builds do you guys have in it and what wattage do you vape on? Will it work just fine on my Lucid voltage-wise?

That $9 USD is an amazing price for the Berserker Mini 1.5 version. The friend I mentioned above, who loves hers...just ordered 1 from Atmopedia (in some other country) for $37.99 USD with Free Shipping. It's the only place, other than maybe 1 or 2 places in the EU that I could locate 1 for her after an extensive time period spent searching. She loves the tank so much that she was willing to pay that for it!

I use SS316L 1.3ohm pre-wound coils in mine. I'm what's known as a Tootle Puffer. I always use 0.9ohm coils or higher + vape at very low wattage...less than 8W. Many other people use much lower ohm coils and vape at higher wattage with the Berserker RTAs though.

I'm not familiar with the Lucid, but I use my Berserkers on any mods I have, with no problem (ie. Geek Vape Aegis Mini 80W and Solo 100W, Eleaf iSticks, Coolfire 40W mods, etc.

As far as how the flavor compares between the Berserker Mini 1.5 and the Avocado 24....I have no clue. I have an Avocado 24, but have never used it, and I don't own a 1.5 Berserker at all.

The doggy style rta might be worth a try. They call it a genesis style rta, but it's nothing like the old style, true genesis tanks of years ago. Basically its wicks are in constant contact with the juice instead of sucking pressure bringing juice to the wick. I own a few of these and they wick really well with high vg juices, but then all my rtas wick great with 70 and 80vg. I also think in time and more time spent with a certain rta, the more one can fine tune the wicking which is the optimum way of wicking higher vg juices

I'm right there with you in needing a good tight MTL, and oddly, I've been totally converted by the Aspire AVP Pro. I found that 70VG still had some spit back, so now I'm using it vaping with Charlie's Noble flavors, ranging from 72 VG-80 VG and it's great. No dry hits at all using the MTL coil. I have 2 of them now and it's pretty much all I'm using daily, when I technically have "better" setups.

I still use my Frenzy for 50/50 mtl juices, but for your situation, you should consider this for an upgrade for high VG. (oddly, the flavor isn't that great with with 50/50 juices but shines as you get high VG)
