Seven 30 Mod - Help Please

I have a seven 30 mod, currently being used with a naturevape 1.4ohms coil in a protank 2.

Despite having set my wattage on the mod to around 8w, when I fire the mod, it fires at around 10.5w

Basically, if the mod is set to10.5 w or lower, the mod ignores the setting and fires it at 10.5w anyway.

However. when I set it to 12w, it fires at 12w. When I set it to 15w, it fires at 15w.

Does anyone know what's going on here and if it's normal?

I could be wrong because I'm new to this and don't have the math down, I'm also not familiar with the seven 30 but I'm guessing it's the seven 22 mod with the sx300 chip instead of the sx220. That said it sounds like your ohms are too low to hit the lower wattage, the sx300 chip like the dna 30 doesn't step down voltage so your forced to use at least the volts the battery is at. Try a higher ohm coil if you have one, perhaps someone else has better advice.

Does it stay at 8w the whole time ? I've noticed my Seven30 jumps when I first hit the button but then comes down to where I have it set ?

The seven 30 uses at sx300 and the lowest voltage it can fire is 4.0, so 1.4 coil is 11.4 ish watts. Put a rebuildable like a KFL at 1.5 and crank it up to see the chip do its magic.

As above... that chip cant down regulate the voltage enough to achieve the settings you wish. So it fires at the lowest it is able too.
