hi all,
yesterday i received a six pack of batteries from fast tech.ego style 1300 mah.
there the same size as my joye tech ego c 650 mah but have a larger diameter.
they weigh more than my ego c 900-1000 mah.
the fit and finish is excellent, they came in various colors.all appear in good working order.
5 came with no markings.the metallic red had a logo on it.very hard to see unless at the right angle,
and the right light.the logo is of a shield.on the top half of the shield the letters SFL.
on the bottom half a logo of a bearded man wearing a hat and sun glasses smoking a pipe.
above the shield a tiny logo of the man and SFL.
i am assuming the other batteries are unbranded sfl because the fit and finish is the same on all
of them.
other than finding out SFL is a brand name, does anyone know anything about the company
and how their batteries stack against the competition?
any info would be appreciated.
regards
mike

K see here's the thing, if you buy any "ego" style battery without an LCD it's gonna be more or less the same. A copy of a copy of a copy, I am serious. What you recieved was 2 products from the same factory. Don't get hung up on the brand either. The chipsets are the same and heck even some "clones" have joyetech batteries inside. The major difference is quality control and color schemes. The (internal) batteries are graded and sold by grade. This is why how Efest 35A batteries are cheaper than 35A Sanyo/Panasonics, the efests are the same battery, it just didn't get a 100% grade. Some mfg's assemble their ego's poorly with little to no glue on the connector, which in turn makes a fragile ecig. I will say that my Haka passthrough is one of my favorite batteries. Its vapes consistently till the last few puffs, which I could never say about my joyetech copies, or authentic twists.

The only improvement over the years for ego types has been the "Kanger" style connector/button which helps against breakage, and gives a flush appearance. Actually I think some spinners are VW, but on an ego I'd rather just have a set vape and KISS.

Have fun vaping!

The prices are so tempting at FastTech and on Ebay but I've found you get what you pay for and this last purchase drove that point home. I purchased two of the 4.2 V batteries you mentioned from FastTech; item #'s 1409108 & 1409104 and am in the process of waiting for a RMA so I can return them.
Item 1409104 was DOA which really didn't bother me, with prices this low you expect to get some duds. However item# 1409108 after the third firing would not turn off and my little mini RDA began overheating! I clicked the button 5 times and it continued, finally had to get a towel to protect my fingers and unscrew the RDA! 8-o A little later I put the RDA back on the little ego battery and it was still hot, still firing, I clicked it 5 times to try to get it to turn off again and it kept going, this time I didn't wait for the RDA to overheat before unscrewing it.
Several vendors have the JoyeTech batteries on sale right now soooo, believe I'm going back to a battery with some safeties built in.:2c:

the six pack i got from fastech are all still working fine.
the fit and finish are holding up real well. still look new.
sorry for your problem

i did have a fastech order of 2, 900mah batts with lcd power indicators go south within a month.
they were 9 bucks for both so i didn't lose any sleep over them.
better luck next time.

A while back I started saving out fasttech purchase posts from this forum only on eGo type batts. (because a 'pattern' was being observed by many here). The "average" 5 eGo purchase ended up being:

1 DOA
1 Died within a week
1 lasted 3 months
2 were still working well after 6 months.

Again, just an average - some had no problems and some returned the whole order.
