Well I am glad you are being constructive! Yeah, those RAs are a treat!

actually saw a video today about oxidizing the wick. This person oxided the mesh before rolling it, and then oxidized more after rolling it. He said he does it that way because it cuts down on hot spots and shorts. he also flames the resistance wire before wrapping the coil.

So many different ways. Some do, some say it makes it more brittle. Some oxidize only where the coils lay....who knows.
This 400 mesh on the phoenix is good. Sitting on some 500, and now there's 650 out there.

I do pretty much the same thing, consistently..Oxidize prior, roll, give the coil end a little dunk in PG or VG and oxidize some more. Hasn't let me down yet. There are a couple of other methods I have done as well and they have, more or less, led to success as well.

650 is a little pricey ATM..I would stick to 400 and 500. They are both going to work great and I believe the verdict is still out on 650 being better than 500, to warrant the purchase.

Going to play my way through the 400 then give the 500 a go and see if it wows me.
For the price I hope I don't see a difference and can stick with 400.

Flavor tested a couple sweeteners last night....going to to vape on a couple of 3 ml'ish (100 drop) samples today.
Acv testing tonight.

Which sweeteners? Oooh, ACV testing..too fun! I did a little of that myself and ended up with some mixed results. I will leave it at that for now, but I wish you luck! You going to be doing some experiments, or just play a bit?

Don't know how Pitt does it, but I'm about to perpetrate one based on a thread I found ??????...
2-3 day steep...longer it goes the more potent it becomes.
2 coffee filters(instead of 1..doubled up), enough ground coffee for a couple of cups (2-3 scoops), coffee into filter...filter into taller skinnier type vessel, cover with pg. coffee should be covered but still able to get ahold of dry portion of filter. let it steep 3 days and remove filter with coffee...squeeze out excess.
I'm going to try this and maybe give it a hot bath after i get it put together before steeping.

Oh...the impression I got was that this ends up being a flavoring instead of a vape ready juice.
when I get around to making it I'll keep you in mind and hook you up.

That's what I understand too, I have seen a few post saying they are using up to 20% in a finished juice, that seems like alot

Hey pitt, I know you have posted this before, but how do you go about making your coffee extracts? And when you use them are they a significant percentage of the overall juice or are they fairly potent?

30ml glass bottle, half grounded coffee and half PG. Microwave, shake, top-off with PG, repeat until no more absorbtion. I then take a filter and place inside of a funnel. Empty out contents and let sit for a couple of days (probably doesn't need THAT long) draining into another bottle for storage.

It really doesn't take that much to give it a strong coffee flavor. I have also read that some coffee doesn't work that good, such as folgers, etc. I used a couple of different flavors of the Millstone to do mine. You can get those at Walmart for a buck and change for a "sample" sized bag.
