Sports and computers as far as "hobbies"..but I have many interests. Jack of many trades, master of but a few.

What about yourself?

You could say I enjoy tinkering with computers..............

Used to be into cars, but walk to work now so I can't really justify dropping $ on the whip.

Hey ladies...I'm back(briefly)....miss me??? Missed y'all.
Got back to Omaha last nite at 9:30...2 days of catch up here then back to boone for
A day and a half of craziness. I'm way too old for this crap.
On the bright side, the minute I get done Friday I'm leaving boone and heading directly to okoboji(is that spelled right?) For 3 days of doing absolutely nothing but relaxing, football, food and beer.

Well I'm glad you caught a break in the action! Okoboji as in lake, in Iowa? If so, then you spelled it correctly. That will be a nice little vacation!

Sorry, been catching myself coming and going and have had too much going on to have a lucid thought.

To the new people welcome to the show.

Hawk, I know your break won't come soon enough, but enjoy it when you get it.

Pitt, so your re-wicked the nova....details, and are you able to push more watts to it now. Dunno if when I would have time to do it myself here lately, but definately what to know what you usued, and how you did it.

How's everyone doing? Haven't had a spare second to check in lately. Last week was filled with 15-28 hour days until Thursday and then a day and a half of shoulders and briskets for my grandson's first birthday party on Saturday. Had to take yesterday off just to sober up and start thinking somewhat clearly again.

Did I miss anything more unusual than the usual unusualness around here?

Don't know how into golf you are.. but, there is a good course over there. Nothing "must see", but worthy of a play through! Sleep, drink, nap, repeat..can't wait til I get there!

I really LOVE the Phoenix. Still have to get around to getting the "helping hands" so I can make the wicks and coils but that thing is awesome now that it's broken in.

Still haven't got around to modding the SmokTech RA tank just yet but hopefully soon. I really want that baby to work out.

I did 1 head..repeat, only once have I re-wicked a Nova head. Bob will be the guy to talk to about that. However, I used cotton yarn..disassembled the head, coiled the yarn with 32awg kanthal (using a sewing needle and my "helping hands"). Measured to ~2.5 ohms and a wick that protuded only about 1/4 of an inch. Re-assembly was a PITA this time around, but I hadn't done it before..used it after 20 min and was able to push more watts out of it (5.3V roughly, as opposed to 4.2-4.5V on the same 2.4 rated head). Never did take pics or write anything down..so that is about as helpful as it gets, lol.

Haven't gotten around to the SRT myself..still in the box. But I did put a new wick and coil in it..2.8 ohms at 6V on that thing is a treat! Buuuuuuut..I forgot to boil the yarn (and think I used too much) soooo it has a bit of an "off" taste to it. But it handles realy well and is a fog machine!
