I'm a mesh virgin but just looking at it I figured that 400-500 would wick better than 250-270?...

Yup. The closer the mesh strands are (the higher the number) the better it pulls the liquid up. The further they are, the better the liquid travels down (for top-feeding tanks). The trick is to roll as much mesh as you can, as tight as you can, so that it is snug in the wick hole (but not to the point of forcing it in there.)

I have had my eye on that unit, for a month or two. Haven't got to see it in action though, only some specs. The video is also not working..But from what I have read about it, it looks like it is going to be a beast. Hope they can end up containing it into something like the kick.

Has has a push button digital pot and a OLED screen already attached, adjustable 6 to 20w. Due out before christmas
