So share that yoda-like wisdom that you've discovered so far! I guess to guide in a general direction I mean you're favorite:
-toppers

zlide (for premade coils), Hastur for rta
-mods (or battery power)

Aegis Solo, Asmodus Tibeaut, Wismec Presa
-coils & wicks

Zlide/Zenith and CLR for blister packs; Kanthal (26-28g), ss for TC, cotton
-settings (wattage, temperature, volts, ohms, regulated/unregulated, whatever's pertinent)

Mostly tame MTL range--10-20W, regulated mods; TC mode--25 watts, ~400-420°F
-Favorite E-liquid(s)

DIY tea vapes, creamy citrus; often unflavored.

I've been a squonker for almost a decade. I vape with the KISS principle. I work in a rugged environment, so tanks are a no-no due to glass+stone=cuss words. I have a days supply of liquid on board ~10ml, so no worries with fumbling a drip bottle. One 240ml flavor will suit me until it is gone, then I DIY another flavor for the next two weeks.

I have many mods, atties, batteries, bottles, etc, but I always have a squonker for my all-day/everyday vape use.
I try to remember to swap my RDA wick once a week. I see other vapers with drippers and tanks and wonder where they were led astray. There is a better way. It's called squonking. Fresh flavor, spill-proof (excluding over squonking), no glass to break. Seems a no-brainer, but I have a higher than average IQ, too. Whatever works to keep a person off cigs is the way to go, honestly.
Once I was able to afford my first REO back in the day I was a squonk convert. I sqounk 90% of the time. The exceptions are late at night on the sofa watching movies with the lights out, I still revert to my old Protank 1 and Provari or when driving I use my Penguins. Having small hands and arthritis the penguins are so light I can hold on to one and the steering wheel at the same time.

I'm out of touch what gear is available since I stopped vaping last fall. That said, the last two years plus that I vaped (within 2017 to 2019) I only vaped fire breathing dragons with sub ohm builds (.12Ω-.18Ω)... 29 mesh RDA's and RTA's. The RTA's: Digiflavor Mesh Pro's, Wotofo Profile's, Vandy Vape Mesh, and Wotofo Profile RTA's. Each of them had a dedicated DIY liquid they always vaped and were ran on specific mods that were in my ever changing rotations of 6-12 at a time. The mods: mech Reo P67's and DripTech DS's, and for regulated mostly Sigelei 213's, Sigelei Fuchai Squonk 213's, an Athena Pride 75, Eleaf Pico Squeeze 2's, and Dovpo Topside's. As a group these 29 dragon setups were by far the best DL flavor vapes I enjoyed during my entire tenure in vaping.

spy-dmp.jpg spy-wp.jpg spy-vvm.jpg

My all time favorite mech mods were the Reo P67's and Reo 2015 Woodvil's (altogether I acquired 26 metal Reos and 11 Woodvils). I have a lot of other regulated mods but regulated was not as much my thing as the mech's were. But those listed above served me well enough though.

profileP67sl.jpg DS-ProfileS.jpg woodx44.jpg

With the closure of most of the manufactures that I supported and the massive exodus of the folks I knew on their ECF forums who drifted away I lost interest in vaping and eventually stopped vaping and stopping in at ECF for the most part around 9 months ago. So I will never vape again, but it was a fun ride 20-24 hours a day every day while it lasted.

Trust the science (not the politics) and stay safe folks.

Nice post, @Spydro

What a collection. I always wanted a mini Woodvil, even though I never squonked. And I still want a Caravela (with Vela Latina atty) even though I'm afraid of mechs. :)

Some mods are just like little objects of art.

Best wishes and godspeed!

My current go to, every day mod is my shiny new voopoo drag 2, in shiny platinum even. I have 2 tanks I use more than any other. A vaporesso NRG with mesh coils and a fireluke 2 mesh. I've found I prefer mesh coils. They seem to last me longer. I did use smok tanks and had no real problems personally until they went crazy making so many different sizes it made me dizzy trying to keep up. I jumped off that train 2 yrs ago. The one smok tank that really rocked was the tfv 12 king when it first came out. It was definitely a high wattage deal. The coils could take a beating at 150watts but only lasted a week before the cotton was toast. It did live up to its name though as cloud king. But these days I'm copacetic with the mesh gigs I'm using at around 50watts. I'd like to add a mesh rta or two to my herd and if I could get my hands on another limitless plus rdta or two that would be cool. I can wrap a decent .22 ohm dual coil set up with plain kanthal that serves me well.

Pico/Berserker Mini MTL, 1Ω round 2.5 id kanthal coil/Walgreens Organic cotton, at 9 watts. DIY 65/35 USA RED @14mg.

In it to not smoke and save money :D.

Is that 65pg/35vg? I normally think of ratios as PG/VG, although people tend to represent the mix using their highest ingredient first. It's confusing if it's not labelled with pg/vg tags.

My favorite mix is 70pg, but I sometimes mix 50pg/50vg if I want more vapor clouds.

Pg is always first. If not, then you're doing it wrong. Just sayin'....lol.

I'll go 60/40 for my dessert/cereal vapes to add a little extra sweetness and mouth feel. The attys I use are more efficient with a higher pg ratio, plus I seem to get more flavor.

I agree, but sometimes people go with the largest ingredient first, so I ask to make sure.

Not always, not all, not anymore. It used to be PG first because early eliquids were 100% PG and then people started adding a little VG for more vapor, but that was a long time ago.

I think it was Ahlusion that started listing VG first, regardless of percentages, i.g., 30% VG, 70% PG. Drove us all nuts, but Vlad wouldn't budge. Now? I don't know anymore. I just list one diluent and percentage, 70% PG. :D

I switch around so much however I almost always have a freemax gemm with a disposable tank ( which I literally get 3 months out of) to go out and about with because my stuff doesn't leave the house. And then I will usually have at least one external battery mod with a RTA, one squonk w/ rda, and sometimes even one internal battery with a sub ohm tank on it. a lot of times though I'm not using coils I'm using rbas. I don't know that I actually have a favorite I do really like my Tesla Nano the little metal one with the gears on it that weighs about 10 lb you could literally kill somebody with the thing LOL that's probably one of my favorites definitely top three possibly top one

The tesla nano was my first "real" mod and I LOVE that sucker. I learned to build RTAs on it (sorta) so I have leaked liberally upon it and through it for a long time. Currently retired, as I don't want it to die but I still pull it out now and then and vape it and go, "Yep, that sucker is STILL a great vape..." Hated the punk (it seemed designed to kill my hands) and I am extremely fond of of my Steampunk 86 watt tube, it's so PRETTY. It's not quite as solid as the nano though, that sucker really can take abuse.

I hope I have it when I'm 80 hence my using it quite sparingly now. However, since so far like the husband is NOT taking to vaping I do technically have a backup, a sliver one (mine was copper.) So, that's nice to know. Heh. Also dispiriting to know because if a steampunk nano could not divert him from cigarettes I don't know what could.

Course, I might throw it in the coffin with him, you know, a sort of "better luck next life" type gesture. Meh. I will probably keep it. I'll toss him a pack of smokes, that seems to be what makes him happy.

Mechs do demand having knowledge about battery amp draw limits, ohms/watts law, etc to make safe builds in mechs @Katya . But they are not rocket science with all the easy to use steam engines, calculators and charts by experts readily available online.

1 acquired two 14500 and three 18490 Mini Woodvil's. The 14500's are mostly meant for MTL vapers as the batteries just don't hold up long for DL use. So as a DL vaper my favorite Mini Woodvil's were the 18490's, especially Calamity Jane with a custom turned brass RM2 that Robert made to exactly match its small diameter catch cup. It is one of the two very early examples I bought used that were made from highly figured burl wood. This one Robert didn't stabilize all the way, and it had 4-5 previous owners. So it is slightly warped and shows long use. So to me Calamity Jane was the perfect name for it if you believe the legends of her hard drinking and carousing with men.
Calamity Jane - the two 14500's from two different production runs, the one on the left bought from the original owner unused.
    27wood-calamityjane.jpg babywood.jpg

Very soon after I started vaping I went to 18XXX tube mods. Then in early July 2013 I added some Sigelei's that included an 8W with both tubes that was designed to look like a Caravela. For the almost give away low price in comparison to a Caravela the Sig's worked flawlessly. But not long after I started buying ProVari's from ProVape and high end atty's for them mostly from VapourArt and By Leo in Greece and SvoeMesto in Germany. I also acquired a 1 of 1 Prototype, 1 of 3 Stealth Prototype and a very limited Stealth Mini ProVari, the first two saw saw no use, the mini very little use. Their 1.1Ω cutoff just didn't work for my vaping style that wanted low sub ohm, so I switched to the VapourArt GP PAPS mech tube mods, have 11 of them and a bunch of their tanks/RDA's. Still unused is the GP PAPS #11 TiX Titanium extremely limited edition unicorn with all its accessories (middle below, most expensive tube mod I ever bought). So I guess I liked buying some mods more that using them.

I had one of those Telsa Mods a couple of years back. They really have a unique look to them. Kinda wish I hadn't lost it. I tend to do that. Vaping and traveling don't mix for me sometimes.

Oh, I know. And I have enough knowledge to know that, at this point in my vaping journey, I don't want to worry about checking my builds or paying attention which way the battery goes into the mod. I want my mod to take care of me--short-circuit protection and reverse polarity protection are so convenient. :)

Absolutely gorgeous. I almost got one, a couple of times actually, but every time I got an urge to finally order one, they were out of stock. Saved by the bell. Same thing with with Caravelas.
