I would never recommend anybody to put poison in the fridge. Even if you do not have kids. Even if you never have visitors. One never knows. Fridge=food. Poison just should NOT be in a fridge. I believe.
I keep my juice and carts in the fridge , but i keep them locked up in a 3.5" disk storage box.

It's lockable with a key to keep the rugrats at bay...top shelf too.

Hard to get in shops now but ebay have a few up for grabs for a few quid.

That's a great idea. :)

I never thought about storing juice in the fridge, but now that I've read this thread I might start doing it (stored in a tin, I don't have kids so don't need to worry about it being lockable).

You've reminded me of when I was still living with my parents; my Dad's a photographer and used to store rolls of camera film in the freezer. He'd put them into a carrier bag and then chuck them in the freezer, next to the frozen veg, batches of soup etc.

Without fail, I'd come home from the pub hungry (as you do when you're drunk :D) and gravitate towards this 'bag of goodies' everytime, thinking it was something interesting, only to find it was bl**dy camera film.

After that I started getting food from the chinese on my way home, only to eat 3 chips (despite ordering half the menu) and deciding I was full up. My Dad used to eat the rest of my order the next day, he loved it when I can home drunk. :p

Mmmmm, maybe that was his plan all along...

I've noticed that. It was initially thought that a cool dark place with no cap to allow it to breathe was the way to go. But, having no lid on will usually negatively affect your juice. As with anything, certain components will evaporate and it dissipate over time. I think everyone is in agreement that most juices need to steep. That's a fact. However anything beyond that is disputed so I figure that trial and error on a personal basis will net you the best results. I'm certain that different flavors, blends, brands and even nicotine content are going to react a little differently from one to the next. When it comes to a fridge, well I'd rather use a refrigerator than leave a cap off at room temp. I've had a hard time noticing anything beyond a week. Meaning if I have a juice steep for 8 days and another for 2 months, they don't seem much different. You'll notice that steeped juice begins to darken, and the darker it gets, the more refined it becomes. You taste what your supposed to taste, and you don't taste what you shouldn't.
