My guy Colby has a meet and greet today. Wish him luck. And wish me luck because I need some of these kittens to GO. My whole summer has been about scooping litter boxes twice a day and feeding wet food twice a day and play time out of the cage twice a day, meds, meds and more meds.
Not sure I shared that Cheddars adoption fell through so she is still here and I am still hoping she is the last of my four wild cats to go

My mother said the other day that if Cheddar were dropped on her doorstep she'd let her in with joy. Too bad you're on the other side of the country.

@chanelvaps ... I have a kitty question. All of a sudden Catdog has started mostly sleeping in her litter box, and occasionally in my laundry basket, which she’s never done before. She’s older, no idea how old, but definitely more on the senior side of life. Is that an indication of something we should take her to the vet for? Potty habits have been normal, as has eating (no shocker there lol).
George will lay in the litter if he'd gotten into a flea pit outside.

The rescue that Cheddar technically belongs to sometimes sends cats to upstate N.Y. You would have to figure out how to get her from there I am afraid.

Also, I'm kind of glad her adoption fell through. I didn't trust those people.
me either. I whooped for joy when they told me. The reason her adoption feel through was because they went to Petsmart to get supplies and fell in love with another there. I mean, how fickle.

SO Colby was not chosen at the meet and greet. He was very very shy and would not cuddle. I need to do something with both he and Cheddar and the rescue coordinator suggested I drop them off at the rescue to roam in the 'free cat room' They have suggested this to me before but I have chosen not to do because...well, because they are my babies. But is time to quit sheltering them. People want playful and loving kittens and mine need some exposure rather than just me and a few family members. Colby would probably do fine. I would be so worried about little Cheddar because she just seems so delicate

She already has two, and she's eighty-eight with terrible arthritis, so it's probably just as well she can't take on a third.

I pity the cats who end up with that couple. They'll probably get bored and dump them.

    Business class or first?

@NolaMel 's paying, so of course it's first class!

For the ppl who don't visit the Shiny thread:

Since everyone's away at Mt Cook I've been head shepherd. Usually sheep are pretty good at having lambs without any help - but I had one this morning that needed it.

Between us, we successfully delivered her lamb. She was pretty weak by then, so I got the lamb breathing, warmed up and eventually standing

    A few minutes after birth

After an hour Mum Sheep was still weak, so I bottle fed her lamb to give it a heads start. Both are doing much better now, and posed for me:

Mum Sheep is in the background. The lamb is yellow due to the Mum not cleaning her up like they normally would. I've left it on her for now, as it helps the Mum know that this is her lamb

And her lamb isn't camera shy ;)

I have some darling video's of my cheese girl but do not know how to get them on here. Tech challenged.
Upload the videos to YouTube and then post 'em here.

To upload a video to YT, click on the camera icon with the plus sign on it and then click on "upload video." Then drag and drop the video into the window or click on "select files" to choose a video from a directory. Then all you have to do is copy the video link, click on "Media" here, and paste the URL into the box labeled "Enter media URL."

And then I will send the links to the videos to my mother, and that will make her happy.

Tell her to double check her ticket. They may decline my card lol. We went to Academy to look for a pair of clearance shoes my daughter was hunting for my grandbaby. ( 50% off all clearance right now. No shoes for bebe, but himself got $135 tennies for $15, and Bob’s for my daughter for $7!). We stopped next door to just look at new SUVs, and came home with a new one. To be fair, we’d been researching, my 10 yo car was closing in on 150,000 miles and they gave us a lot for the tradein (close to half what we paid for it). Between that and the huge medicine flower order, I’m spent out.
Tl/DR.... I’m hurricane prepping, just in case (sigh). Im ready for November to get here!!
