I was looking at my first V4L battery, a purple diamond shorty today, admiring the nice metallic shine, and it suddenly occured to me - how long do they stay like that?
Do they get all scratched & tatty, or stay shiny for a long time? I usually carry mine in a small metal carry case, so they aren't in the bottom of my handbag or anything where they're likely to get too scratched up.

How do others find the longevity of the finish?

I always carry my 'spare batts' when I go out in an old style cigarette case some one gave me long ago. ( sentimental reasons) It too is metal with engravings on it. I took that velcro sticky stuff and put it on the inside of the case. (fussy side of velcro only) It made a nice lining and kept the batts from rubbing on it. Mine's a larger one with enough room to hold 2 xl batts and 8 cartos. At home I took sections of felt and sewed pockets that my batts slide into to keep them clean when not in use that fits into my vaping supply case I made up. I have my original batteries still along with several new ones & all have the original finish on them. It keeps very well I think.

My 1st XL got messed up, I dropped it everywhere, and I was like ehh, cool battle wounds it has. But others lasted me a long time. I now use the multi tool knife/plyer belt holster to hold my mod, and 2 carto's and I keep SMILIN special menthol in a tee shirt frabric bag with 4 smilin cartos, and the gerber belt loop is perfect for me.

You do need to exercise a bit of care if you want your batteries to stay looking new. My first blue XL looks as if it's gone to war & back (guess it rather did). It's just used at home now. Thinking of putting nail stickers and/or rinestones on it to see if it hides the scratches. These days my precious Diamond batteries especially are carried in the little pouches that came from V4L.

I toss mine in my pruse and in a glass bowl when I am home..most of the time when I am out I have at least one down my blouse. Very few scraches and they never dull.

When you say 'down your blouse', are you saying tucked in your "lady gear" ? Lol, I thought I was the only one who carried them around like that, though only when I need hands free. Keeps them nicce & warm.

Me, too. We have our own built in lanyards. I don't think they'll work for the Taryn spin, though
