Here is a tool suggestion to help with the refill aspect. It is a hook-rug tool. It is available at any crafts store like: Hobby Lobby and Micheal's Arts and Crafts.
Modification: just use pliers to bend the end out and away from pole slightly to allow for insertion into hole at mouth end of cartomizer.

I just refilled my first cart last night, but this worked perfectly for pulling the cap, and no denting or damage to the hole.... It's got a tapered threaded end, lightly thread it into the hole and pull it out, then I took the rubber o ring out with a paper clip.

You can get these at any auto-zone/advance, etc...

Like I said on another thread, I made a cartomizer cap pulling tool which hooks the cap and rubber ring at the same time, and keeps them together and held securely when you tug them out. I showed it to our engineer for mass reproduction, BUT the engineer told me he had finally found an easy to remove cap!

I should get my hands on samples of the new cap today, and if it works, we will start using it as soon as possible. AND it will be a V4L exclusive!!!
