Hello all.

I saw a post related to shipping cost and TV making a profit from it and most of us realize that is a crock of #$%^. But just to clear things up I wanted to post this thread. I know TV does not need me to defend them, but I never like to see LIES on this forum, so I needed to do this for myself.

The accusation was - "TV makes a profit on shipping"

Now, while making a profit on shipping would not even be a bad thing to me (I do not consider profit to be evil as it is needed to run a successful business) I wanted to clear this up.

The FACT is TV charges $5.00 for shipping on ANY order (as far as I have seen). Every order is shipped PRIORITY MAIL and costs TV $4.95. TV also has to buy the boxes that they ships their products in, and I doubt the $.05 difference covers their cost for those.

In addition, if you order enough that it requires a larger more expensive box and a larger shipping charge, does TV charge you more for shipping? Not that I have seen, still $5.00.

So as you can CLEARLY see, Geoff and crew are more than generous with the shipping. Not to mention his AWESOME PRICES on juice.

Thanks for reading all! Just wanted to clear that up.

CV :) - HAPPY vaping EVERYONE!

I was wondering when you would chime in to all this bashing going on this past week! Where have you been? I read that statement too, and did you notice, this guy has never posted on this forum before. I seriously hate band wagon jerks that like to give their 2 cents when obviously they have never even tried any of TV juices. I would seriously hate to try the 30 ml. of juice that I could brew for 50 cents.

As for Geoff, I hope you have tough skin, because when your the best damn juice maker on the planet, there are always going to be jealous a-holes trying to bring you down a notch.

I agree Geoff does not make a profit. Let me clear one thing up. The boxes are free from USPS.

Okay I am chiming in for a reason, please do not take offence but I am thinking to nip this before the loop holes are found. It actually cost 4.85 for a small flat rate box. The flat rate box is free, however the peanut and packing tape, ink to print labels and paper to print the labels on is exspensive!!! Far more than .15 I know because I have done a co-op or two. Just a fyi if your order is bigger than a small flat rate box then TV takes a loss, like they have with most of my orders. I have seen as much as 30.00 for shipping in a single order for me and TV charged me 5.00!!!! Flat rate shipping! I love it and Thank you TV!!!

Thank you for the corrections. I knew I was probably off by a little, but I also know the "making a profit from shipping" was a complete LIE. Thanks for clearing that up VQ. You are the greatest!!

To second what VQ had said, there is a lot more to shipping than just boxes.

I just got finished running a co-op, so I know all too well the true cost of shipping. The box may be free, but I had to buy peanuts, packing tape, labels, not to mention use my own ink! By the time you add it all up, it's well over $5.

Also, as for Geoff making a profit on it - I placed an order costing over $500. It arrived in TWO boxes, each of which cost over $10 to ship.

I only paid $5 to TV for shipping! Where's the profit?

And despite TV having a minor web glitch that caused my order to get placed later than I had wanted, Geoff and his staff went out of their way to make sure my order shipped in time to be here when I needed it! His employees were pleasant to me, even during my panicked crankiness. And Geoff himself was quite personable even amid the web glitch crisis.

His juices taste great, his customer service is more than adequate, and his prices are beyond reasonable.

Flat out- if you don't like them, then don't buy them, but don't go telling others not to give them a chance!

Hey now 5 cents is a lot of profit!! That's the secret to Tasty Vapor, I've figured it out! If they sale their liquids for WAY cheaper than everyone else and break even on the cost of the liquid, they can charge an OUTRAGEOUS shipping cost of $5.00 and make a 5 cent profit on all orders!! Way to go Geoff for being a true capitalist!! Such a crook!! ;) (i hope everyone realizes i'm just kidding) lol

I've ordered from companies before that are nowhere near as friendly with shipping. I was placing another order with a different site a few days ago and the shipping was 4.99 but adding a drip tip to the order made it jump to 9.50! Really? Adding a drip tip makes that much of a difference? Needless to say, I didn't get the drip tip. I've had nothing but good experiences with TV. I've made two large orders that most likely cost TV a bit more in shipping. Most of the time, i get a few bottles at a time. Either way, I don't usually see shipping prices cheaper than 5 dollars unless it's a free shipping deal. Nobody ever seems to recognize the handling part of shipping and handling anyway.

I want the juice so I'd pay whatever was asked, regardless of shipping costs. I just see it as a bonus that the shipping prices at TV are better than fair. Thanks Geoff!

I tell ya, reading some of this straight up GARBAGE on this forum lately, I'm developing a tougher skin. I'm away for a week dealing with work matters, look out the window and see torches and pitchforks and I'm going WTF?

The dude who yakked about us using shipping charges to scam ya'll was wearing an ....... We charge a flat rate of $5 for shipping, wether it's for one liquid or one hundred. How that's scamming, dude must be doing his math with the aid of chicken bones and rabbit droppings.

We don't pay for the boxes, but we DO pay a rather hefty monthly charge to Stamps.com for their services.

So, if there are any millipennies left from all of that, yeah, I guess that's what we have left to "get rich" on.

Pfft...Stay in school.

That was one of the posts I typed up a nice, long answer to, hit "post quick reply" and found myself logged off ECF. (The growing pains involved with new software.)

I have the box from my last TV shipment right here -- $11.74 postage. That's before ink, peanuts, labels, tape, ink and labor. And the order was for more than $100 so I got a 10% discount.

Geoff, you gotta stop ripping us off like this!

I was frankly surprised to see all of the hate going on when I logged on to the forum a few days ago. I honestly don't see where posting in a rage on a forum does any good anyway. It's a public attack and it will just make people angry every time. If I had a genuine problem with anything, I'd use one of the many methods to contact customer support and if that didn't work out I'd try again. I can proudly say that in about 30 bottles orders that I've never had a problem with anything. After tasting TV juice, non TV juice tastes tastes funny to me. I don't even know why I bother to order anywhere else as it's a lesson learned almost every time.

Don't get me wrong, if I was to ever have an issue I'd voice it, just not publicly. I find that rude no matter the issue. Once you publicly throw in personal attacks to someone you don't actually know it's pretty much game over. Credibility is lost at that point and nobody cares.

But seriously though...Don't know what this sudden surge of angst was fueled by, but it's just damned stupid. For the minor few that are making all this big noise, it's not diverting our course in the least. We get your letters, we get your thanks, we get the notes from the people in chemo therapy, we get the notes from people with emphysema, we get the notes from people who have even had LUNG TRANSPLANTS who are now using our product and I tell ya...This fortifies 500 percent what we're doing, and how we're doing it. So, while it's a little disheartening stepping into the forum and seeing a couple of hippies trying to stage a mini-rally over the most ridiculous tidbits of whatever, in the long run, WE SEE, WE READ all the good that this company is doing for a MUCH LARGER scale of people. And our hearts, our work and our energy goes out to those people whom we have helped.

Yeah, I guess I'm on a soap box right now, but hell, it's an occasional thing. I rarely get to step up here and blather. It's when I make regular habit of it someone should probably knock my .... off and tell me to humble the hell up.

But for now, and for the largest percent of our clientele, I love what we do, and so do they. So rock the hell on!

The original poster on that thread had a valid complaint. She tried to resolve it through customer service, felt stymied and posted her experience. While I don't feel that's the best way to resolve an issue, I rarely bother to post on threads like those unless I have a constructive suggestion on what to do.

On the other hand, posts like those from Mr. Postage always trigger a response. "Someone had a bad experience with this company. I must tell everyone that I will never do business with them again." WTF? There isn't a company on the planet that has 100% customer satisfaction. Where does this person buy food, clothing or shampoo if he/she refuses to do business with any company that has any dissatisfied customers?

Accusing TV of overcharging on postage was just the icing on that particular cake.
