Hi. I'm pretty new to Ce2's. I recently got some Fluxomizers from gotvapes. The first one I filled with gorilla juice and I am pretty sure I burnt the wick because it wasn't wicking fast enough for me. I then filled two more with pg juices. They both vape well and don't taste burnt but they do have a weird almost soapy taste. I noticed some sort of liquid droplets on the inside of the Fluxomizers before i even used them. Is there some sort of primer on these? Do I need to clean them before I fill them? Also is there anything I can do to get them to wick thicker juices faster?

I've used mine straight from the box, but it wouldn't hurt to rinse them out first. You can either let them air dry or just vape through the water remaining in the wicks. Gotvapes says the cup and wicks are "pre burned" to eliminate any chemicals or stuff that we used to have to burn off with a cigarette lighter, but there could be something on the coil; primer or something.

I'm using 70% VG with them and don't have any problem with wicking until they get very low. Then, I have to tilt them every couple hits or so.

The wicks are silica, so you didn't burn them. What you might have done is jammed the plug down into the coil and scorched the little lip on the underside of it. That would taste funny, but it won't last long. Or, the coil is sitting too high in that cup and contacting the little lip on the underside of the plug. I've had a couple do that but after a tankfull, whatever is getting scorched is no longer being scorched and it stops.

To fix it, pull the plug out using some kind of small tool. Don't pull on the nipple or you might tear it at its base. Look on the bottom side and you'll see a little lip that fits inside the rim of the cup when the plug is in place. You might see some tiny burnt areas. Use a small pair of manicure scissors or an Xacto knife to trim it. You don't have to eliminate it entirely, just cut it a little shorter. Check to see that the coil is not raised in the cup. Push it down if it is, so that it's sitting low in the cup. Without raising the coil, slightly lift the wicks so that they exit the cup near the top of the slits. This will improve wicking. Replace the plug carefully, making sure that the slits are lined up with the wicks. Make sure you get the plug straight. This is a bit difficult when the whole thing is assembled, so take your time and use some sort of little tool.

Normally, you don't want to remove and replace the plug unless you have removed the tube from the base first. When you re-assemble it after cleaning, put the plug back on the cup before you slide the tube on. That makes it a lot easier to properly fit the plug to the cup, since the tube isn't in the way.

Before you do all of that trimming and wick fluffing, go ahead and just tip it good and let it soak. You can turn them completely upside down without any flooding or leaking problem. Once they're really soaked, they wick very well. At least that's been my experience.

Thanks sailorman. I was hoping you were gonna answer that. You seem to be experienced with fluxomizers. Today I took a syringe and got the juice that was tasting weird out of the fluxomizer and tried dripping it. It still taste funny after being in the fluxomizer. So my best guess is there is some sort of primer in there. I'll try cleaning a new one before I fill it and report back.

I always dry burn my fluxos on first use. Sometimes they have some waxy substance over them, sometimes it's "primer" and sometimes it's completely dry.

All you need to do is take the mouthpiece and inner seal off so you can see the wick and coil. Put in on your battery and just pulse it. Less than a second at a time. If the wires or wick goes black or "smokes" then you need to keep pressing until it's white again or not smoking at all.

It also helps to put a drop or two directly on the wick to ensure it's going to wick properly first time or you'll have some liquid burning issues and weird tastes from too little liquid getting too hot.

What I do, because I use all vg, is to take off the inside seal that sits over the cup and trim the two slots into a /\ shape. Just make them a bit wider and stick it back on. A fluxomiser will wick VG with no problem that way at all.

Good luck!

I had two packs of XLs and I didn't dry burn the first pack, they all got burning disgusting dirty after about a week.
Second pack, I dry burned out the box lasted a little longer and the flavor seemed more robust.
I think they prime these things with juice like they do with some other things

I just took a new one apart and ran it under some warm water and dried it with a lighter. It still taste bad. I don't know what to do. Maybe Fluxomizers just aren't for me. I have a stardust that i really like tho and its basically the same thing. I am dripping the same juice and it taste like it always has. In the fluxo it taste like it has hand soap in it. I wonder if it will get better if I just power through a ml and refill the thing?

Well, consistency has never been the strong point of Chinese manufacturers. Gotvapes swears that the Fluxos are pre-burned or something, that's supposed to eliminate anything in them. My experience supports that, but you can't count on consistency with any of these things.

There are really no parts in them to taste like soap unless the plug is getting singed. If it is, you can see it pretty clearly. If it's just some primer or something and it didn't wash out, I can't imagine it would survive an entire tank. So, my suggestion would be to "power through" it and refill. They last many refills so, hopefully, it'll be a very short episode in their otherwise long lives.

Try this: To eliminate the possibility that the plug is getting toasted, just take it out. Put the tip back in and vape it with some clean juice. Don't worry, it won't leak. I have one with my own drip tip and no plug and I can turn it upside down without leaking. As long as the hole in the drip tip isn't too wide, it will press against the top of the cup and prevent the juice from leaking out.

I got some last week and tried one right out of the box. I filled it, put a drop on the wick and let the juice soak for about 10 minutes and it tasted burnt when I tried it.

I syringed the juice out, took the tube off, and washed it under warm running tap water. I rinsed it with distilled water and dried the wicks between paper towels then did a dry burn. I trimmed the cup while I had it apart, because, well, because I had it apart! Lol CE2 habits are hard to break!

I added juice and let it soak and it vapes like a champ. I'm thinking the wick wasn't soaked enough, don't know. It could have been anything under the sun, really. I will rinse the next ones out with distilled water and do a dry burn but I don't want to pull the tube off any more than I have to.

To rinse (clean) them I put a condom on the bottom, fill the tube half way with distilled water and shake, rinse and repeat until the water comes out clear and then air dry (if at night) or just dry burn and fill.

They are great!

I always got a burnt taste from the seal with the fluxomizers. I take the seal out completely and drip to wick sides. I always rinse the wicks with hot water then dry burn before first use. If you take the seal out, make sure not to tilt them, they'll leak bad, but it's worth it.

Not so. I have one in my hand right now. The seal is out. I have a stock, off the shelf, drip tip in it. It's half full of 70%VG. Im turning it upside down right now. I'm counting down the time....Well, it's been about 3 minutes. I shook it and tapped it on my hand and can't get a drop to leak out of it.

Now, I'll stick it on my PV and see if it leaks while I'm vaping........
Not at horizontal. When I was almost 180 degrees vertical, I got a tiny taste of raw juice.

Verdict: If the drip tip doesn't have an overly wide bore, and it's pushed snugly against the cup, they won't leak.

Mine isn't leaking at all either with just the drip tip. I even have it pulled up a smidge above the ceramic cup ant its still not leaking. I wonder why they even put those rubber caps in there? Anyway, I am either getting used to the taste or its getting better. Still have half a tank left. I think I will do a very thorough cleaning of the rest of my fluxomizers and remove the rubber caps from them too.
