i have now owned my zap(among many other zen items) since june of this past year. i will have this thing longer than i am alive...it is built that well it has already seen 5,000 ml of juice. with that being said though...any of the other well made ones that aren't made with wire and solder should last you a lifetime. they are all the same other than some offering more wick holes(which i am extremely afraid of...people are asking to blow themselves up with 2 low ohm coils). as long as you stay away from the chinese crap you have made a good investment(these clones are aweful!)

I think the clones are fine to learn on. A person can see whether or not they want to fool with RBAs, without spending a lot of money. They work, just like the high end units, if set up properly. They just have lousy hardware, and aren't machined very well. But eventually, once you become proficient with wick and coil building, you'll be searching around for the top shelf stuff.
