My 2cents...order some cartos to give it a try, you wont be disappointed, they are much more reasonably priced, and you could always go back to the tanks. I will look for a good carto match & deal for you and post again.

NEW Soft Tip GP510 Cartomizers for 510 or eGo $4.99 !! (and there's a 5% code) 2.6-2.8ohm

Empty GP510 Cartomizers for 510 or eGo 2.5 ohm

A variety of blank (empty) cartomizers for Vapor King and other KR808D-1 style E-Cigs 2.5 Vapor4Life.com Anniversary Sale 27% off on everything this weekend. No Minimum. Coupon Code: ANNIVERSARY27

Lower Ohms are available and workable on the Ego batt as its 3.2v under load, but it also depends on your preferences and juices...if you want good vapor and great flavor all of the above would be good and less worries about burning and gunking your cartos. I love my Bloogs best...even on my Ego batt, but you would need an adapter as they are 808 threads (although an adapter is only $1 from goodprophets)

DONT GIVE UP!! I would offer to dig up something to send you to get by, but you could have an order in from a vendor sooner than you could get it from me up here.

I retired my tank also, too much of a hassle. I just use boge cartos. But I am loving the dual coil cartos for some juices!

Ok are the echo and dual coil cartos different? I am not up with all the new stuff.

One of my big things is I don't want to refill multiple times per day and would prefer to use no more than two per day. I go through about 3ml per day (is that a lot?).

One more about cartos -- I couldn't stand 808's (have tried 2 brands). 510's good but didn't last very long---almost went back to carts. Now I've got Ikenvapes (drip style with my own drip tip) and Boge's. Both are excellent performers so far. I know Iken has some other models to check out and some hold a ton of juice. All carto's are not alike!

And, thin the juice down with a drop or two of distilled water in the bottle if its thick or heavy on VG.

I am still a noob, but I have to agree with retiring the tanks,
I have a TW Tornado tank. for about 2 weeks now. Constantly flooding.
I have ordered new tanks from several vendors, still flooding, and
when its working vapor is not that great. My FS EGO from myPVshop
with a carto produces better vapor, even though I frequently overfill them.

I'm done with the tanks, don't last any longer than a regular 510 atomizer and cost twice as much. They're also high maintenance. I'm back to the Boge 510 cartos, still waiting to see something better.
The Ego-t atty's will cost you 6 times as much, and if you can find a deal it will be 3 times as much. I'm with you, done with tanks and back to Boge cartos.

Mom attys do not last that long they are a disposable part of an ecig , at 3.7 volts ( that is what an Ego runs at ) they last pretty long BUT they do burn out, the HOT one might have been a LR type ( low resistance ) did it make more vapor ? if so it could have been a LR atty .

This is just a part of vaping BUT it is cheaper in the long run and it might even keep you alive longer ????? you know for the kids

+10 on the cartoz

The one that was hot is not an Lr. I ordered a black lr, a black regular and a blue regular. The blue one was the one getting hot. Now I can't tell the difference by looking which black one is which.

Can anyone tell me something? I was looking at these Black - 1.5 Ohm Dual Coil Cartomizers and it says not suitable for eGo, 510, etc. So what are they for?

They are for 3.7v and higher mods. The eGo batteries are MOFSET driven and LR attys and cartos are hard on MOFSETs. Lots of people are reporting no troubles with the dual coils on their eGo batteries, but I personally consider it to be a "do at your own risk" sort of thing. I don't regularly use anything below 2.0 ohms on my eGos. - I have indeed tested a 1.5 ohm dual coil on an eGo battery. It was OK. The dual coils perform far better at 3.7v (and even better at 5.0v).
