I am researching....what do you guys think of the items on this page?

What do you think of the store selling the stuff?

Cartomizers
I do like the XL clearomizers because you can pull off the clear tube and clean and dry burn them and make them like new again and see how much fluid is in it. You can't do that with regular carto's.
They do crack sometimes and leak juice but for the price they are worth it. I don't know about the store but they do have a phone number and I like that if they answer.

I too started with eGo-T's. High maintenance is indeed true. If you want a high capacity (3ml) carto that fits your eGo batteries, you might consider reading the Echo thread...

Thanks, I got through a few pages and realized the thread is 50 + pages long! Ouch it would take me forever to get through it. I read some at the beginning and some at the end. Some say the cartos last a long time and others say sometimes will only last a few days.

I have yet to figure out the cost involved. So far it seems they are only sold by a few members on this board.

True. Most of us don't have the patience to read 50 pages. The thread is large because a lot of people have jumped on the Echo bandwagon. So I'll cut to the chase for you...

The Echo cartomizer is new and comes in 3 models. The Echo-E model is designed to fit eGo style batteries. (hence the E) You can buy complete kits or just the cartomizers in the $4-$6 range. It holds enough liquid to last most people a day or more.

Nothing is perfect in the vaping world but the Echo has won a lot of fans in recent weeks. Please read or at least skim the Echo thread before making a decision. We have several good suppliers on this forum. In no particular order...

Moutain Vapor - High quality e-cigarettes, liquids and accessories.

Echos are selling fast and it is common for some suppliers to be out of stock.

This is something to think about for the future. Can't spend that much at the moment (for the kits) so hopefully the stock issue won't be much of a a problem when I am ready. The cartomizers at one of the sites were 14.50 for 4 and from what you said they should work for the ego.

I would hope the cartomizers can be filled many times or maybe cleaned and filled again. When I am ready to buy, I don't want to buy enough to have one for every flavor.

So how is a cartomizer that costs $5 going to do better than one I paid $1.50 for? Unless I can run 50ml of juice through every one every time, it's not going to be very cost effective for me. Even so, i can easily get 50ml of juice through a Clearomizer, granted they have their troubles, but at $2, they are highly economical.

What problems do the clearomizers have?

They crack, run dry or leak, consume juice, and you loose 1/3-1/2 of your flavor...other than that theyre great
Sure beats the devil out of Ego-T's and for less than 2 Dollars I still think they are a good buy. Also you don't have burning filler material like regular cartomizers.

Tubes crack prematurely, can be a pain to fill, don't always wick well (but there's a simple fix for wicking issues).

If you were to use just one every single day, now long would it probably last? Not how long will it last before the need to refill, but how many days use before it is garbage?

I gave up on the Ego-T. I'm in GLV and Cartomizer heaven now. My daily ape is a GLV Supermini and Nhalers Dual Coils Jumbo Cartomizers @ 1.5 ohm. I can't think of a better combination. Small, compact, lightweight, tons of juice, tons of vapor, great battery life, 3.7 vamping all day. I have a 5 volt just for the house with the same carto a 2ohm. That would be my recommendation.

I wish I had the money to try out everything you guys have suggested. This way I could find what I like and what works.
On some sites you can buy 1 or 2 of something but the problem is you have to pay to the shipping and that raises the cost. So its better to order less often and buy what you need from the same vendor. The regular 510 cartomizers and the clearomizers cost about the same, and I found that because you can clean and dryburn the clearo's they last longer than any filler type cartomizer that I have used to date. If you decide on cartomizers I recommend the Boge 510 LR carto. over the standard because you will get more and better tasting vapor.

Yes, buying from multiple vendors to get a few of each item can get a person with shipping. That is one of the reasons I can't try out everything, but it would also get expensive to try out many of the things available.

Maybe a vendor could come up with a trial pack that has many types of supplies that fit the ego, and then a trial pack for the kr8 etc. Though that probably wouldn't work.

Just make up your own kit with what you can afford, and not to many of any ONE thing, because if you don't like one of them then you won't have much invested, if you buy a bunch of one and hate it your stuck with them.

I experimented for 3.5 months to find the best hardware for my e-pipe mod with 510 connector. Started with Ego Mega B but couldn't get rid of a burnt taste. For two months I struggled to make eGo-T type A to work well for me. You are lucky, I guess, to use three for a month. I killed 15 of them in two months trying all known ways of cleaning/re-wicking. This makes about 4 days per atty in average. Too low for $15 piece of hardware. So I gave up with eGo-Ts.

For now I experiment with just regular inexpensive eGo cartomizers, dual coil clear 510 cartomizers, Echo and Giantomizer CE-2 New Version. All work just good enough for me, no comparison with eGo-Ts. And I don't spend my time anymore cleaning attys and making new wicks every evening. Ordered new Dual Coil Colossal 510 just two hours ago. For now looks like new Giantomizers are the best but they are not cheap, $10.
Let's see. My advice is: give up with eGo-T but don't give up with vaping. There are a lot of options compatible with your battery.
