Your ego-c consists of an atomiser (atty) which contains a coil that is fed by a vertical wick. If you take off the plastic tank you will see a spike which is a small hole with the wick inside it. Your tank is pierced by the spike and feeds
juice down to the coil where its heated up to produce the vapour.
A cartomiser (carto) is a metal tube with a coil in the centre, this is surrounded by a filler material which holds the juice.
A clearomiser is a clear tube that contains a large piece of wick, juice is placed inside the tube and the wick sits inside this and feeds juice into the coil.
Some people, myself included find that ego type tanks mute flavours and dont feed juice consistently either resulting in not enough which results in a dry burnt taste (dry hits) or too much juice which can cause leaks.
Cartomisers are very popular because they are cheap, easy to fill, last a decent amount of time before they need to be refilled, and can provide very good flavour. A 2.0 Ohm cartomiser would be a good combination to use with your ego battery. Some people prefer lower resistance which will result in warmer vapour and more of a throat hit (TH). They don't last as long as a good atomiser, usually from a couple of days to over a week.
Boge cartomisers are very popular, but there are also other makes, some with different coil layouts or more than one coil.
I use cartomisers when I am out and about but prefer to use direct dripping on an atomiser (non ego type) when I am at home.
