It really depends whether your vaping style changes. Not everyone who squonks or uses an RDA develops a lung-busting, cloud-chucking vaping style. I didn't change my nic strength at all when I switched from tanks to squonking 3 years ago. 15 mg both ways. But I'm all the way down to 13 now.

It really depends on the build (ohms) and how many watts you plan on using your in your rda. If your vaping at 30-40 watts a 6mg might work. If you go higher 3mg. But everyone is different. If you buy a juice you like in a 6mg and it's too much for you, you can always go buy a 0mg nic of the same juice. Mix it and you will have a 3mg.

answers are confusing me. you are at 3mg basically because it satisfies you. Question is if I'm at 12mg now on a iCare and moving to an RDA squonker, will this affect now much nic Im getting and therefore should step down to avoid a headache.

that depends on what you build your RDA to. what RDA are you getting?

if you desire, it's possible to set it up almost identical to your current icare setup, and still use 12mg.

it's also possible to build it to .2 or .3 ohms and still use the juice you're using.

it's also possible that that will give you too much nic. everyone is different. every juice is different.

yes, most people reduce their nic when switching to that setup. some don't. if I were you, I'd get the same juice that you're currently using, and then get an extra bottle of 0 nic juice. If what you have it too nic heavy, you can dilute it until you find your sweet spot.

hope that clarified some stuff. good luck!

Vapor production with an RDA in general is far superior. Especially compared with something like an iCare. So to compensate you use higher nic in the iCare ( ie 12mg).

When I went from a nautilus to an RDA I stepped down from 12/18mg to 6. I tried vaping some 12mg at first on the RDA and it was like vaping sandpaper. These days i could vape 12mg on my RDA no problem. But at first that was overwhelming.

It is important to understand that when you vape 3ml of 12mg on say your icare you gave your body the chance to consume 36mg of nicotine. 6mls of 6mg is the same amount of nicotine but less concentrated for something like an RDA. Chain vaping 12mls of 3mg nic juice is the same amount of nic as well just further diluted.

I don't think you'll really know until you experiment and find out what is to your liking. It's entirely possible you may need less nic (I cannot vape more than 6 m.g. in a DL device, even at fairly low watts) but I am a MTL vaper at 18 m.g. nicotine at the moment. I'd second the suggestion to get some same flavored 0 nic juice if you can, so that if you start getting nic headaches, you can step yourself down until you get where you want to be.

Good luck!
