While you're at it:

- stop drinking (no caffeine or booze)
- stop cursing
- stop using fossil fuels
- stop watching movies or playing games that contain violent situations

No one needs these things. Avoid all fun activities that other adults enjoy as recreation.

vaping is only a cure for smoking/smokers and if you enjoyed doing it for reasons that are your own, then something is dreadfully wrong with you. Thank God the FDA is here to rein in eCigs / vapers, otherwise we wouldn't know when, or how, or why to stop.

If you have to ask, then just stop it. Life is brief enough without being held hostage to a habit you don't enjoy. I love vaping as a hobby, and I enjoy the tinkering, trying new stuff, and experimenting. Yes, I love the flavors and the clouds, but then again, I've reached the point in life where I have the means to buy "the latest thing" if I want to, and my box is filled with juices, some I like, some were a disappointment.

You have to decide. Period. But the fact that you want some of us to convince you to stick it out is really verification that your heart's not in this hobby. And that's OK. Life is fleeting...enjoy it before it's over. Good luck!

If not for the nicotine addiction, I would stop vaping over night because its a pain in the ... to maintain my tanks and devices. I couldn't tolerate it without the nicotine cravings that need to be satisfied. Too much work. Actually, if I ever quit vaping, that will be the reason why. The maintenance. It sucks.

Get some easy stuff. An iStick with a Nautilus Mini and 1.8 ohm coils. Get some cheap e-liquid that's strong enough in nic - maybe Hangsen Apple? Then just vape. It doesn't get easier than this set-up - and it really is something that you use and forget about (in a good way). It becomes a part of you. Good luck!

Seriously, it is people that have never smoked and start vaping that bring undue and unwanted negative connotations to people that vape as a replacement for smoking.
If I'd never been a heavy smoker I'd never vape!!!

It's tricky. Grown-up folk have the right to do anything legal. Making the right choice can be hard. I agree, though - if you haven't smoked then why get hooked on vaping?

If you don't enjoy it, quit. Why spend money on something you don't like to do?

For everyone else telling him to quit since he's not a smoker - there are plenty of other harmful things we do to our bodies, with a lot of substances having unknown consequences or inconclusive/divided research (for example, aspartame and fake sugars, preservatives, etc). Should the OP not have caffeine, sucralose/aspartame, etc, either? As for that "fresh, clean air", try walking outside once in a while. If you live in a big city, you're going to be inhaling some nasty stuff. I was riding my bicycle to work yesterday and was behind a schoolbus that put out fumes that made me wheeze and cough worse than vaping ever has. Should I stop riding my bicycle as well?

Life is too short to be constantly stressed/worried about every little thing. Do what you enjoy (except hard drugs or something) and do it in moderation. Even as a not-regular smoker, I enjoy nicotine and the flavors and tinkering and building. Plus smoking/vaping has always relaxed me, and now I can do it without feeling like death afterwards.

It's ironic that people who started smoking something far worse than vaping are giving others a hard time about it.

ANTZ can and do use the argument that kids who start vaping may then transition to smoking as a possible problem with vaping. I've never heard ANTZ use your point above against vaping. If you know of any instances of this, I would love to hear about them :)

If I'd never been a heavy smoker I'd never vape!!!

That's how you feel and that's great for you :thumb:. I know of people who have never smoked who vape to help with weight reduction, to be able to get nicotine in a safe manner, to do smoke tricks, etc. As long as they are adults and have made an educated decision about this for them, IMO there is nothing wrong with this.

That was exactly my point " undue and unwanted negative connotations" , and it's not just the dreaded ANTZ, google 'teen vaping' and see the countless anti-vaping stories, the media is on the bandwagon with this

Well then I guess we want our cake and to eat it to...I'm not telling anybody they can't do this legal ( we'll see how long that lasts) activity, but I'm certainly not going out of my way to support or encourage people to do it that aren't going to use it as a form of harm reduction.
That being said, I didn't take into account the possibility that the OP may be using vaping in lieu of smoking, something which I would be in favor of. That's really all I have to say, not interested in a long, drawn out debate...let's agree to disagree.

I vape because I was a heavy smoker who tried everything to quit and only vaping allowed me to make the change but it isn't only ex smokers that vape there are other groups who benefit from it. As to you taking care of your tanks and devices is something you don't like doing, liquid isnt what you were expecting and you don't believe people are ever happy with vaping so QUIT. I love vaping i love the freedom its given me and i enjoy tinkering with my kit I enjoy making my own liquid and getting fantastic flavour from doing it, and the setups I have now are all I need fullstop unless something breaks probably from overuse.

See the difference if not its simple I'm a vaper your a passer by you've given it a go its not for you cut your losses and move on I'm not going to encourage anyone but smokers to vape and certainly not you spend some of the time saved you'd have spent trudging with vaping to find something else that suits you better.

Personally, Just my opinion, but.....if it isn't enjoyable why would you do it? Life is too short, so spend your $$$ on something you do enjoy. :) If you would become or revert to smoking by ditching the vapes, then I'd say *Keep Vaping.*

Personally, if I felt it was simply a *nicotine delivery device*, I'd just use the patch. They didn't work for me, because I am a reformed, long-term heavy smoke and patches, gums and medications were just not sufficient. Why? Because there's much more to smoking and vaping than nicotine. I enjoy all aspects of vaping; the inhale, exhale, hand-to-mouth action, flavor and the all important oral satisfaction, even the ritual with a cup of coffee or a drink, and after a meal. Maybe I'm strange, but I actually enjoy the endless search for the perfect ADV's.:vapor:

We probably scared him off. The ANTZ crowd claims to be concerned about kids vaping but they whill show no interest in discussing that concern on the merits or encouraging any research to find out what kids are actually doing with vaping. They might find that beingg permissive about kids vaping is actually positive for reducing smoking in the long run. If that happened to be the finding they would not be happy.

The best evidence that the anti crowd doesn't have a good argument is they lie. The most obvious one is that nicotine is addictive. The FDA approved nicotine gum and patches for sale over the counter 18 years ago. If nicotine was habit forming for never smokers they could never have done that. It is part of the Public Health profession to be liars. If you are a skilled pathological liar then Public Health is the field for you.

Hey guys, I've read everything you posted. Quitting is something I am considering. I mean, it's not even an addiction or someething I have to "quit". I still like it, it is kinda fun to surround myself with clouds. I know what it's main purpose is, and me doing it for the flavor and clouds and not at for the nicotine kinda makes me feel bad, like I am using what saves other peoples lives as a fun hobby, and that in and of itself feels wrong to me somehow. I decided I am gonna keep what I have, not buy anything else, except for like a coil, and vape the juice i have left every so often. Then, once all that is gone, I'll see how I feel. Thanks for your impute though.
