I like your solution best OTOH I'm a long-time advocate of adding chlorine to the gene pool. :?:

I agree there is too much regulation on everything. It's quite sad really.

definitely not.. we are all adults here... too much regulation on everything now..

Uh....no :nah:

but would propose a ban on sharp things...think about the children

slap a good warning label and thats all. if we were to ban everything that causes a negative impact...we as a society will fail

lets start with alcohol....that will prevent drunk driving

My opinion is, and will be, to either go totally Socialist as a country (they are gaining considerable ground), or go back to our roots and be a country founded as a republic by our forefathers, as had been originally intended, where people are free to make their own decisions without being molested by special interests groups or their neighbors.

I for one consider myself as having more intelligence than the village idiot and can make my own decisions if given the facts and proper safety warnings for product purchase decisions.

I wish we could go back to letting people open their own windows in hotel rooms, because the fact that you can no longer open your own damn hotel room windows anymore serves as a symbol to me of all that is going wrong with this country.

On the other hand, now that I don't smoke anymore, I don't actually care as much.

I think banning sucks in general, but as soon as some idiot od's and dies from it, ecigs will be banned and we'll all suffer...
If that were true, Everything would be banned. Nothing is safe. Look up ld/50 on wikipedia, you will see everything you ingest on a daily basis is toxic. Including water. Hyperhydrosis or something like that.

Imposing a restriction on something to make it feel safer won't get an idiot to stop immersing himself in a bathtub full of 1kmg/ml liquid because his 3rd cousin from his fathers side said it cured aids.

I agree. Analog smokers are a minority in this country and vapers are a minority within that minority. The general public has little clue what ecigs are and probably don't care how much we love using them. Add to that, the most "authoritative" and loudest voices concerning ecigs are groups like ASH and the FDA who call them unsafe and want them banned completely. So, when some idiot does go ahead and OD the 99.99% of use who use ecigs like responsible adults are not going to matter.
IMHO, it would be wise for suppliers to voluntarily limit the sale of v. high nic juice, add warnings to bottles, and refrain from making false health claims. I'm all for personal responsibility but we don't need to give ammunition to the groups looking to ban ecigs.
just my 2 cents

"Think about the cheeiildren"

:-x

I swear, who do they think helped influence my descision to get off of analogs. My kids are reaping huge benefits from my improved health and available cash.

Understandably, there are not many household products that smell this good and can kill you if you spill a bottle on your skin. Worst case scenario say a 4 year old gets into your eliquid stash. "mmm smells yummy, wonder how it tastes?" Ends up popping the drip cap and goes for a swig. It is gonna taste like crap but in the process spills it all down their chest and face. Spits and yacks in the sink but doesn't want to get in trouble so they sneek back to their room to play with their toys. Yikes!!!

I for one would gladly pay a few extra bucks per ounce for a childproof capped dripper bottle. My kids are old enough to know better. For those of you who don't have kids I'm sorry to suggest the extra expense. I feel the more proactive we can be and the safer we can package this life saving product the better. Can we do it ourselves? Or, should we wait untill a few unfortunate/negligent accidents happen and have the FDA get involved.

And that is the real problem. A few "idiots" shouldn't effect anyone else, but we allow it to.

And if we let idiots plot our course, eventually we will wind up with this:

Okay this is my only post in this thread. You want to put a ban on a ecig item, yea it is only about how high the nic lvl is. So lets say there is a ban on it. We know that others would love to see a ban on ecigs in general.
You have just given they a way. Soon it will be 28 is just to high so only 24, then so on so on. OH HV PV they just put out to much vape. We can't have that.
You give the foot hole some one will use it.

I personally wouldn't buy anything higher than 36mg because I don't think I'm competent enough in mixing to get my desired level right, and I'm a bit worried about handling it safely.

BUT, just because I wouldn't buy the stuff, doesn't mean that others shouldn't be able to! It's your decision to get it, and you should only be getting the stuff if you know what you're doing!

I like that you have a choose to by it or not, if you do you take the responsibility to store and use it properly. I am tired of people not taking responsibility for their own actions. Everyone wants to blame someone else for them not reading and researching before using something. And when they do something wrong they always say, "It's not my fault, I didn't know what I was doing, no one told my it would do that, and because they didn't tell me it is their fault not mine." WRONG it is your fault for not reading and doing your part.

Anyway sorry about that. Just had to get that out.
