Should passthrough work with car adapter?

I have the USB car adapter and a manual passthrough. I tried to use them yesterday and got nothing. However, my passthrough also started acting up this morning (doesn't work at all sometimes, works for anywhere between 1 and 5 seconds others - I have already emailed Steve).

So is it my passthrough or is this combo just not meant to work?

If you are talking about the USB car adapter that Steve is been handing out in orders, it has worked with some passthroughs and not others (I think newer cars yes, older cars no or visa versa! lol ) The ones he will be getting in soon are more powerful and should work for all. The one you have should be fine to charge batteries or the PCC however.
