How about a photo thread?

I got the blue Suorin Drop and blush gold juul in the mail today. The juul was a freebie with an auto ship subscription. I don't use the juul except as a backup but I wanted the gold one... I fell for the "limited edition" marketing--haha! Very happy to have the new Drop. This one works much better than my first one!

So.. you've signed up for a company to automatically ship you ejuice pods and automatically charge your credit card for them?

Dang..

No wonder Juul is doing so well in sales.

@Opinionated You have an appropriate name! ;) You're assuming that I didn't want the pods. I was out and need them for backup. Also, I wanted to try some of the flavors that aren't sold locally. You can switch the flavors on each autoshipment so I'll get a variety. With the 15% off, it is also cheaper than buying locally.

Do you have any photos of pod mods to share to contribute to this topic?

No pictures... I jumped in just curious.

Was thinking of getting one of those pod mods and some ejuice to go with it to have in my purse to hand out to smokers in need. it's either that or an ego device but I wanted to know if there was a particular pod people are raving about these days..

Twas my purpose for jumping in, just to see what people had and what they were liking in the pod mod category..

As for my opinionated self.. yep. . I tell no lies.. hahaha.

I honestly would never sign up for someone to auto charge me, I won't even do that on my monthly bills.. but if Juul is talking people into that type of commitment then it is no wonder they are doing so well..

None of the devices are without some sizable flaws. I've been using the Suorin Drop, Air and Smok Infinix. I'd probably suggest the infinix.

The Infinix pods seem to last a long time compared to others that I've tried. But the Infinix pods have problems with spatter and spit back since the chimney is a straight shot to the "drip tip" built into the pod. I manage the problem by taking the pod out and blowing into it to clear the chimney. If they had just offset the holes on either side, it would have completely eliminated it. The pods fit the device well and are extra secured with magnets. Battery life is only mediocre so buying two is helpful.

The Suorin Air and Drop are great but don't wick as well. If you fiend on it, you'll get cotton tasting hits. If you take short hits, it's not a problem. I like both a lot but if you are fiending on it because of a nic fit, you can ruin a pod. The Drop has a very tight draw and is really close to a cigarette draw.

Oh then I'll wait until POD systems improve to consider them. I just thought with their increased popularity that some of those flaws had been addressed.

I won't give a potential new vaper anything that is that difficult to get to work properly, I'd rather see people be successful in switching than take the risk they will get frustrated and just give up - which many people are want to do.

We will give it another year and look again then... I'll just keep doing what I'm doing now, it's been working for people so far..

You might also look at the Aspire Breeze 1 but it's a small AIO, not a pod system. It's pretty simple and fool proof. Recently, there have been a couple of complaints on Reddit about the plating coming off of the chimney but it hasn't happened to mine. Unfortunately, most of the drop in style coils are encased in plated steel instead of stainless steel. Even the more "sophisticated" devices are made cheaply in China. Another draw back is that a tank system will not have the convenience of pods so switching liquids or nicotine strengths requires emptying and cleaning the tank. Also, the Breeze is more like vaping than smoking. It is very open and airy. A Breeze 2 that uses pods was released yesterday but I haven't tried it. There are a few reviews on Youtube but most reviewers receive products for free and typically aren't very critical of them.

Some of the more "sophisticated" devices also have a lot of draw backs. Most of these are also made cheap in China. And none of them give a cigarette like experience like the pod systems.

There is good reason I've had success in helping people make the switch and it isn't by putting people into fiddly leaky problematic devices.

That might be one of the reasons that Juul has been so successful. Just pop in a pod and vape. Almost as simple as smoking but not as damaging.

A critical discussion of the Juul would mention problems like... lack of choices for nicotine levels... air bubbles form around the wick and cause weak hits unless you tap them away... not intended to be refilled (though they can be), etc. It's still a very popular device though. And it's helped people get off cigarettes.

Likewise, a critical discussion of sub ohm devices would also have pluses and minuses. And people will have different preferences about what best suits them. Here's an interesting example from Youtube... starting at 9:00 he talks about switching from sub ohm devices to pod systems.
